Eyewear

What is the best to get?

Ski mask or Safety Glasses?

thephenom September 24th, 2006 16:14

Seriously, read the fucking FAQ before asking anymore questions.

Neither will be approved at games.

Thunder Kimerson September 24th, 2006 16:18

i was asking for preference you jerk.

Kuraitenshi September 24th, 2006 16:27

Ski mask = no protection u lose ur eyes
Safety glasses (try shooting them see what happens at 400fps and then imagine what it would do to your eyes and face.) = you lose your eyes
Hmmmmm.....

My preference Neither.

its not just in the FAQ, its in most if not all the website/forums for the varrious fields. If you take a pair of glasses out that they are un sure of, they will either a)send you away or b)shoot the glasses point blank with the gun on field with maxed out Fps for that feilds specific rules.

If you ignore this stuff, you are going to be in for a dissapointment when you go out to a feild and get sent home for not having the proper gear.

-Skeletor- September 24th, 2006 16:29

a ski mask aka balaclava will not protect your eyes...

For airsoft,if you play at a paintball field you will need paintball approved goggles, airsoft only fields allow ballistic goggles, some will allow ballastic glasses.

I use these in OD

Searcing the forums will also go a long way.

Daes September 24th, 2006 16:31

Neither are recommended (sealed goggles or Paintball mask are appropriate), soo....

read the fucking FAQ before asking anymore questions.

(Especially the part about being 18+)

When you are 18, I recommend the Bolle X800's. Best goggles I have ever used in regards to fogging.

So you're asking which "eyewear" they want to game with and which way they prefer to lose an eye?

You've been told NUMEROUS time to read the FAQ which tells you what type of protection you need in airsoft, and you simply ignore it every fucking time.

Cortex September 24th, 2006 17:42

Play with the safty goggles untill you read the faq, wait, you woun't be able to see the faq anymore... nvm.

Kuraitenshi September 24th, 2006 17:56

as this thead will be going in the trash..............

Isn't it strange how noobs getting pawned do not reply to threads when they realize they were F*µ¢k£d in the a$$. Don't you think?

Quick thread hijack here, can anyone recommend some ballistic goggles that would fit over prescription glasses?

I see the Bolle and ESS goggles but I'm just not sure if they've got notches for frames inside.
Cheers in advance.

The Revision goggles work with the Revesion Sawfly (issue glasses) RX insterts.

Metternich September 25th, 2006 02:38

Both Bolle t800 and the ess goggles linked above in this thread have perscriptions inserts. I have not personally tried either so I don't know how well the inserts work. It would be nice to hear comments from someone that has tried them out. I've recently ordered a pair of Bolles with the Rx insert, but sadly they haven't arrived yet, so I'm unable to comment on them.

I prefer that you READ the Information Section. I prefer you would do this as soon as possible.

Look, if you're going to be biligerant and not take peoples advice, you're not going to last long here. Read the FAQ. Until then, go back and play counter strike, and when you're ready to stop being a child maybe try coming back. This is a serious sport, not a video game.

Gerkraz September 25th, 2006 11:34

I'm a big fan of these. I find they cover my eyes and make me look fabulous.

LOL thats some funny shit!

But on a serious note, for guys that ware glasses(my self included) look at these googles on this page (scroll down to find them) , http://militaryspecialtiesinc.com/we...rplus_Gear.htm
Stock they are not okay but a Ballistic Military Issue Replacement Lens can be bought for them, I'm ordering one for self now and these goggles are danm good, have notchs on the sides to fit glasses frames and the goggle frames are hard rubber and will fit your face really well! The stock lens I've tryed at five feet away and fired a few rounds with my AEG thats fireing at about 365fps with 0.25g BB's when I chrono it and the lens held up, but better safe then sorry, the ballistic lens should be very safe for airsoft, at least not any less safer then a paintball mask!

Shrike September 25th, 2006 15:42

Flint just keep in mind that FR and Wasaga paintball fields require paintball goggles only, no exceptions.

Bowmanville and Wolfpack primary (maybe others) may let you use other eyewear.

Flint September 25th, 2006 17:12

Ya, thats why I have both, Paintball goggles and ballistic military goggles! If they are not okay with my military goggles, I'll always have PB goggles as a backup!

Amos September 25th, 2006 23:45

IDK, I THINK THE L337 TERRORIST HAS SOME PRETTY SWEET GLASSES.

Greylocks September 26th, 2006 06:32

A l33t guy like him does not need any darned goggles, come on guys!
