airsoft drive by

in winnipeg there was a drive by in the northend at north kildonan school during the lunch hour and some little kids got shot at.

it made the news, cops came down, and the school released leters to the parents and everything.

i couldnt find an article but if anyone wants too find more about this you can try www.ctv.ca

Kids + airsoft + school = bad idea.. people brought airsoft guns to my school last year as well... its sad.

Lerch November 3rd, 2006 00:47

Damn your bad news!

spacemoose November 3rd, 2006 00:48

I kinda feel that this thread is useless without some proper linkage.

underground November 3rd, 2006 02:04

when i was still in high school, there was an airsoft drive by near our school and the students tried to outrun the police but stupidly, they drove into the school parking lot where they surrendered with shot guns to their heads. Kinda scary if you think about it. Damn kids, they are giving us such a bad image.

[Lithium] November 3rd, 2006 02:47

shotguns to their heads??? so, cops got up close and personal witht he people before they surrendered? ok...

On the news about 2-3 weeks ago here, was a soccer shooting.. Kids with "Airsoft rifles from Japan" Came to a soccer field, and shot young kids playing a game, to the horror of parents.

Lerch November 3rd, 2006 03:22

Wow...I'd have to admit...that would be a sight to see

__Zero__ November 3rd, 2006 06:39

The thing with these is that they could be crapy-tire softair guns and whe're attrackting flak for stupid people.

Greylocks November 3rd, 2006 06:43

And people wonder why we require age verification... it's at least a basic control.

underground November 3rd, 2006 09:02

well the kids surrendered and the police came out of their cars with pistols and shot guns. Say one police officer would be holding a shotgun while the other one is putting cuffs on them. I guess they were afraid theyd had a real gun or something...i dont know

Bezerker November 3rd, 2006 09:36

Please tell me that by little kids you mean high schoolers. I swear if they shot at middle school aged kids or younger someone better be heading to court.

underground November 3rd, 2006 14:36

oh ya for sure they were high schoolers

Greylocks November 3rd, 2006 15:03

So much for the maturity claims we all hear too often.

Mud Gunner November 3rd, 2006 15:10

and stupidity like this will eventually drive another nail into the coffin that that will contain our sport....

veedoor November 3rd, 2006 18:14

This is becoming stupid. when will people learn. A kid in Panorama rindge secondary ( my sister's school ) brought the crappiest airsoft gun ever to school. Im guessing it shot less than 150 fps because of the plastic look. But damn realy.

the kids who were shot at were middle schoolers

This behavior isn’t new. I had some teens in a car shoot at me with a pellet gun when I was walking to school in grade 5… that was 30 some years ago.

counter gangsta November 3rd, 2006 19:10

Don't these kids have anything better to do other than ruining our sport???

pellet gun? or airsoft... damn.... a pellet gun would hurt like a bitch on a friday... or a punch in the face... whatever...

diamond_SEA November 3rd, 2006 19:37

Hey this is winnipeg, this stuff happens all the time. This isnt the first news story that i know of of ppl shooting C-tire crap guns in "drive-bys". I also hear is popular to shoot at the (questionable job, and clothing) women at higgins and main. Just a little while ago i started a thread on a kid that robbed a gas station and ended in our school.
Ya, its damaging to our sport, but someones gotta ruin everything for someone.

Hunter Killer November 3rd, 2006 22:25

Well this sucks.
It will most likely happen in my school, because of this kid i know.
He plays at the local park and in his house with crapsoft guns.
I swear hes a fucking idiot

syne November 3rd, 2006 22:34

I love Winnipeg... now that I'm several thousand kilometers away from it.

night*strike November 3rd, 2006 23:55

I've had the same happen at my school they brought there crappy airsoft gun to school and started showing them eventualy it ended in them getting caught and getting suspended for about a week and they had talk with our local police this pissed me off when i found out that they got off so easy.

raven22 November 4th, 2006 00:11

These bloody stupid idiots, they are causing the demise of our sport!

hattrick November 4th, 2006 00:47

Ohhh.... Japanese airsoft. Thats probably gonna do something, the clear ones aren't really too much of a problem. When the real stuff (read: real airsoft) gets in the news then it's probably time to worry.

techobo November 5th, 2006 01:15

I live downtown Toronto and was shot with a frozen paintball in the chest. I collected the paintball and took it to the police station. They took my name and info, and that's as far as it went. I figure this stuff happens all the time.

I had a welt for like 6 months.

Rusty_D November 5th, 2006 02:06

Time and time again. My uncle lives in Chestermere Alberta (rightbeside calgary)
and 18 + males were doing drives by with and airsoft Ak-47. They caugh them and they found an 9mm aswell.

I guess us kid's are to blame again!

Savage Eh November 5th, 2006 03:04

people are fucking stupid when they are bored. keep the guns at 18+ but they should open up tittie bars for 13+. that will fix EVERYthing

Rusty_D November 5th, 2006 03:20

Touche

diamond_SEA November 5th, 2006 09:58

I guess it all depends on the kids eh
I mean when my friends showed me thier "kickass airsoft guns" they bought from canadian tire, I thought it was sweet so I went and got my own. I stumbled across this websited and devoured every bit of info... I soon later sold all my C-tire stuff (except my EBB pistol) and moved up to a slightly less crappy Firepower stuff from SIR. Now most of that is sold and im only a few months from age verifacation to get into the real stuff. All through that time i played by the rules, on a closed private proporty in the middle of nowhere, always with safety goggles, and called my hits, so i guess its all just nuturing the noob into an honest noob.
ps the only reason i keep that EBB is cuz it has double the confirmed hits of every other gun ive ever owned combined....

-Number7- November 5th, 2006 19:38

I hate it when these types of things happen. Gives a bad image for people who arent retarded losers that have airsoft guns. Airsoft was supposed to be a simulation game. Like a real life socom game lol. Anyway now it has just turned into a weapon easier to get for these kids.

It just makes playing airsoft even harder.
