HELP! from all G36 owners with 9.6v batery
I am about to purchase a CA G36 from ASCA. But before I do I would like to know how to get a 9.6 volt battery into the stock foregrip. Im not interested in buying the larger foregrip because I prefer the gun as it looks stock.
I have read from some different postings that its possible but what I need to know is what configuration the battery pack needs to be in and what, if any mods need to be done to the hand guard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Just get yourself a standard 9.6V mini battery, it installs the same way as the 8.4V mini packs. I have no problems running 9.6V batteries in my TM G36C or CA G36.

get lots of mini batteries....

First off if you have never modded a gun, don't do it yourself.
Get a gunsmith to mod it. Are you going to keep it stock? i.e Internals. Here is how to mod it for a 9.6v http://www.uncompany.com/information...6c1500modi.asp I do however will enforce the dont do it yourself unless you are 100% capable as I have seen people make a small mistake and ruin the whole front end. You will also need one of these http://www.uncompany.com/images/batt...h-g36c_big.jpg |

as far as I know its not the Mah that makes the battery larger its the extra cell. ie; 8.4 volt= 7 cells 9.6 volt= 8 cells
as far as I know Mah has no impact on the batteries size. I could be mistaken though. |

I also just found this. Im pretty certain its a better battery and the seller states that it will fit in a G36;
http://cgi.ebay.com/INTELLECT-Mini-T...QQcmdZViewItem I have contacted the seller to make sure that it will fit into the G36 with no mods and I will update as soon as I hear back from him. Amazing KG3...... Just to confirm........ Your sure that your batteries are 9.6 and you didnt do any mods? Its not that I dont beleive you I just want to confirm before ordering the battery and the gun. |

i use the 9.6v intellect in my g36c no mods
|
ditto, the crazy wacky one in like 3 pieces is the one you need to mod.
|
Just keep it simple and go for the highest mAh battery you can find in 8.4V. Really not a lot of need (compared to the hassle sometimes) to go 9.6V. If you MUST, you can buy the larger forgrip available, cut the hook off the front end of the upper receiver, and you are good to go.

is this a CA36C, K, or standard?
|
Its the Ca36. The longest of the 3.
|
those are nice, i have the K model and am extremely pleased. I just orderd like 300 dollars worth of stuff for it, so hopefully it will look a little more unique in time. again, i cant stress enough how easy it is to snap the charging handle. then again i seem to be the only one to do it yet. A metal one is on the wayto replace it.

Classic Army guns are designed, in stock form, to fit 9.6V batteries as far as I know considering thats what it shows in the manual.
You're looking for a mini pack, properly known as 2/3A cells. These cells come in 600-1400mAh and are all the same size since 2/3A is a standard cell size. It says in the manual that the CA36 will only run off of higher mAh packs so its best to use the 1400mAh cells. Intellect is one of the best battery companies out there so any of their packs are good. The weird packs with the two loose cells that requires you to mod the gun is not made with 2/3A cells, don't know what they are exactly. You want power? Get a battery stock, can fit up to at least 10.8V 4500mAh packs as far as I know. I'm running a 9.6V 3300mAh pack and am considering switching to an 8.4V 4200mAh pack. Also sinking money into a gun isn't that hard, my CA36 is worth about $1200 with the M203 on it. |
you could also consider the new elite 1500 mah same size as intellect 1400 but cheaper and more power
they can make them for you here www.cheapbatterypacks.com |
Go buy the G&P V stock. Then your laughing....
|
the texture does not match the CA models, thats okay if you like the multi colored g36s. : P

i think swatt13 has an extra TM one.
|
Yes it's true they don't match.
But a black gun...blech...boring.... But to each their own.. |
Not to play the newb card here, but is it generally accepted that the high amperage batteries (non mini) won't fit into the stock grip for the ca36 fullsize unless you go mod'ing route?
...hi-jack over |
large batts wont work in a foregrip. you need mini, or a custom batt.
|
take the gun to where you bought it and ask the people there how to put it in
thats what i did |
The only place, internally, the battery will fit on a G36 is in the foregrip. It's a bitch, I hate it.. took a small chunk out of the front of the foregrip before I caught onto rotating the bayonett lug 180. A large battery would be nice, but there is simply nowhere on the gun to put one.

What max custom battery might fit into standard CA36 handguard?
So far i have there custom 9.6V 1700Ah from Sanyo, but am considering GP 2200Ah 9.6V because of higher Amps (standard 30A, peak 58A). |
I see on WGC that Star now makes a full length handguard that will fit an 8.4 3000 in stick format (like an AK battery)
I plan on getting one of those foregrips for my next 36 project (along with 2 of the 3000 packs) |

yeah I will be using a CA36K
Dang it - one of the reasons I want the CA is its more realistic texture. Anyhow - its the only handguard I know of that will fit a large type and has a bipod. The bipod is a requirement for my SAW cert in my club, and the large type is a no brainer for a SAW. |
