Review: Jing Gong G36C
On Monday a friend came over with the JG G36C brand new in box. The packaging was not flashy, it simply displayed JG’s model number on the side with a bit of common knowledge information on the side. It was what’s inside that’s truly interesting. Click on the thumbnails for larger pics.
http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg Aside from the G36C, the gun also comes with an 8.4V 1100 mAh NiMH battery, a wall charger, a pack of ~200 BB’s, the gun manual and a couple of shooting targets. JG includes a high capacity magazine with the gun so you’re pretty much ready to rock and roll right out of the package. Note because BuyAirsoft imports the guns from the US, the flash hider of the JG G36C is neon orange. The gun weighs in at just under 3kg (6 lbs) with the battery installed and is about the same weight as my TM G36C and CA G36. In size and physical characteristics the gun is identical to my TM G36C and everything between the two was cross compatible (mag well, body, mags, flash hider, etc). The body has a slightly glossier look than the TM or CA however it feels as solid and there is no flexing or creaking anywhere. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg Noticeably missing on the JG G36C are any trademarks on both the gun and magazine. As you can see pretty much every part is physically identical to the TM, JG does claim that every part is cross compatible with the TM gun. My TM low cap, CA hi cap, MAG mid cap magazines were all compatible with the JG G36C. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg Like the TM and CA G36C’s, a mini battery can be installed into the foregrip . Connect the battery, put it into place via the guide clip and slide the foregrip over top. While waiting for the 8.4V 1100mAh battery to charge, I installed an 8.4V 1400mAh battery and wanted to give the JG G36C a few test shots. With my low caps filled with 0.2g BB’s I proceeded to test the gun. The first thing I noticed was that the JG G36C was extremely loud. It seemed to fire pretty straight so next up was to chrony the gun with my Guarder Speeder 2000. After firing a few rounds I was pretty amazed to see the initial velocity readings however the large variance between shots was also worrying. BB’s checked in at between 350-370 fps, the muzzle velocity is certainly impressive however a 20 fps difference is much too high for comfort. I would later find the source of the problem and will get into that a bit later. While test firing the JG G36C I did notice another problem which would turn out to be electrical. There would be approximately a 2 second delay between trigger pull and shots fired from the gun on semi, full auto sometimes would cut out after 5 shots. I was looking forward to opening the mechbox but now I also have a problem to trouble shoot. Stripping down the JG G36C is exactly the same as TM and CA, remove the magazine well pin, magazine well, rear pin behind the stock and then pus the hopup forward and pull the mechbox out. After removing the mechbox from the pistol grip we’re greeted by this. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg If you’re going to be working with the JG G36C mechbox becareful because there are a lot of sharp edges everywhere! After undoing all the screws and removing the stopper rail the mechbox was opened up. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg Here is a breakdown of all major components, JG uses plastic bushings (which was replaced with metal), plastic spring guide, plastic piston/piston head and CA gears. The piston head is ventilated for a better O ring seal however everything else is exactly the same as TM. There was a ton of grease everywhere with the majority inside the cylinder by the cylinder head and blowing into the inner barrel. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg Here are a few other details I noticed while inside the mechbox. The plastic spring guide only had one peg, it was clear the other side had snapped off but I’m not sure whether I did that or whether it came like that. I was not able to find the other side even after I cleaned up my work bench. I tried to installed a Guarder ver 3 metal spring guide only to find out that the slits for the spring guide arms were not thoroughly cut. I had to chisel away at the holes and even then the fit was not as comfortable as I would have liked. It ended up to be a lot more work than I expected so I put the plastic spring guide back in and figure I would deal with this when the stock piece breaks. Next the mechbox contacts which are usually completed by the selector plate were soldered together. I don’t know why this was done but it works so I guess that’s all that matters. The problem with the gun turned out to be with the Jing Gong G36C wiring assembly. There was poor contact with the positive wire which runs to the motor and I had to resolder that part. After that was done the JG G36C was as responsive as my TM G36C. :) It did take about 5 hours of frustrating tweaking to locate the issue but I’m glad I did. Putting the mecbox back into the body I did a bit more test firing, the trigger issue was gone however the muzzle velocity still varied by 20 fps. As I mentioned earlier, the piston was pushing a lot of the grease into the inner barrel and it needed to be cleaned out badly. After that was done muzzle velocity really tightened up and shots varied between 365-370 fps. :D The next big question with the Jing Gong G36C will be its reliability and that is something I cannot answer right now. It will be my friend’s main weapon for the season so I guess I’ll report if any issues arise. After seeing and taking apart the JG G36C, it is a gun I would recommend to novice players. As a starter kit, it comes with everything you need although I’d probably get a better charger and more magazines when the finances allow. Just make sure you have a gunsmith handy though in case you run into problems like my friend did. Yes it should work 100% right out of the box but for the price and what you get, it still seems worth the gamble. :) |
Nice review Colin...Very thorough!!! It's reviews like this that save people a whole bunch of cash. How much did your friend drop on this gun?
|
The gun was purchased from BuyAirsoft for $275. I guess I should have put that in the review, oh well here it is and I'm glad you found it informative. :)
|
nice review man

great review colin
|
Nice review...
I got my G36C from buyairsoft in February...and it didn't have any orange paint on it at all. It was chronoed recently between 331 and 350. A fair sized range actually. I'm sure the mechbox needs to be cleaned out a bit too. No electrical problems so far after around 5000 rounds. |
Great review Colin! It's often difficult to tell if a reviewer is being objective or if they're biased by dropping a chunk of cash. I appreciate your factual analysis.
That's a crazy looking cylinder window. It looks like it was milled on a mill with very loose gibs. Is there a sharp burr on the inside of the cylinder? Next time you have the gun apart make sure the oring isn't getting cut up on the cylinder window. |
Thanks for the kind words guys. :) MadMax I noticed that too about the cylinder and will check it out the next time I see it. The gun has since left my hands and will get its first true workout on Sunday at Wasaga. If any blips arise, I will post an update.
|
I was trying to find Jing Gong's website on the net (apparently they don't have one up yet) and I came across this article.
First off, nice review. It's brief, not too technical and straight-to-the-point. But one thing from your review shocked me so badly, that I just had to register here and tell you. In fact, I'm completely offended by the price buyairsoft is charging you guys. If only you could see the look on my face, I wouldn't have to be typing this message... Let me be blunt. Your friend got ripped off. Here in the Philippines, the highest price for the JG G36C is being sold at is around 4.8k Pesos, or roughly $96 USD. That's almost 1/3 what he paid. |
Hey there mellvis. Due to the importation laws in Canada, individuals cannot import guns themselves. You need special business licenses to import, thus things are much more expensive. Hopefully that will clear up the discrepancy in price.
|
I'd like to know the accuracy of this gun? how is it?
|
if the grear box gets destroyed would i have any trouble replacing it with a classic army gear box?
|
Nice review, helps newbies like me to make an informed decision. Quick question, does the bright orange flash hider come off, or unscrew easily? How much would a replacement flash hider typically cost?
Cheers, Chris |
Gearbox is supposed to be 100% TM compatible, no idea for CA.
The flashhider screws off easily, new one will cost $40-60, spray painting the old one will cost $2. |
KoolAidMan the accuracy is as good as a stock TM G36C, after seeing its performance on the field I'm definitely very impressed.
Solo36 externally and internally the JG G36C mechbox is compatible with both TM and CA so yes if you did "destroy it", you could replace it with a CA no problem. HeReigns yes undo the small allen key screw on the bottom of the flash hider and it screws right off. You don't have to replace it, you can strip the orange paint and repaint it black. :) Not sure how much a replacement flash hider is, my friend repainted hers quite well. |
I'm thinking of getting 2 of these JG ,or a Ca m15a4 if i get the JG's i can bring a friend along with me for the occasional splatters game so its a tough decision.
|
ive converted my jing gong into a classic army. most of the parts fit but barely. the gear box is a really tight fit and the body pin wont fit in where its suppoed to. but its still pretty good. very good buy.
|
i had a team mate get the jg m4. i agree jg guns are VERY close to tms, i would go for a jg over a tm to be honest, due to the price. you end up replaceing internals anyways so why buy the same gun for more?
anywho, we found a similar issue on the m4, reasponse seemed fine, but the gun actually stopped eworking after 200rnds. i broke it down and founthe wireing shoddy. its still good, but there was a short do to a bad connection, so i repaired that and the gun has now seen 1000+ rnds problem freen since. i extreemly reccomend these guns now. we cronied it the other day, a stock ca m41 sar - 275fps, stock jg 340+-fps. THAT is impressive to me. and the m4 was actually very accurate (no more than a stock tm, but no worse) for what i was expecting. |

Things aint as cheap here as they are there.. ;) |
If i get the The Jg's I'm gettting either the M4 M16 AK or G36c not sure wich to get thought
|
the stock on the JG's is an inch smaller then then classic army stock. i kind of like it a little shorter. ive put my JG G36 threw alot and its still working great, now im just waiting for my JG spets to come in so i could put it to the test.. ill let you all know how it goes..
|
Gunsmith
where can i bring the gun to be cleaned out and checked over once i buy it??
where can i find a good gunsmith? Thanks J |
combat, the JG G36C comes with a barrel cleaner. Just put a small piece of paper towel on the end and push the into the the barrel. As for checking it out, why don't you see how it is first. ;) Perhaps you don't need help at all.
Oh yes a minor update to the review I guess. The JG G36C has been fielded a handful of times and it's performed very well. Shoots as straight as a TM/CA and absolutely no problems from the gun or battery whatsoever. :) A few thousand rounds have been shot through it and it's still fires like new. |
Nice review Colin. Sheds alot of light on the quality control
of the JG guns, or should I say lack there of, but hey, it's a cheap (outside Canada) China clone. I'd buy one for the right price and use it for an outside beater. That JG mech makes my new Systema m170 magnum set look like a thing of beauty :) |
jing Jong g36c
Yes i should do that but they are out of stock right now
I have the TM G36c and its my first aeg and I like it....this would be a second gun so i can reuse mags and stuff and a friend can use it the price is very attractive thats for sure |
kika93's paris france review translated
Subject: Jing Gong G608 (HK G36C) [ AEG ] Dim 24 Déc - 18:50
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Initially, hello with all, it is my first post on the forum even if I follows it since step badly of time Then here is after step badly of research on the cheap I let myself try by the G36C of JG even if it cruelly misses reviews of this counterpart on the Net. I bought it 100? at Gunner, delivered by airmail of 14 days, and I did not pay the customs. Limps (not of marking EC): First of all, it is heavy! 2800g (like the RS), it was one of my criteria of purchases in order not to find me with a counterpart not expensive, but so light that precisely Ca would have made "cheap too much", and well I am been useful! The completion is very good, even if the plastic is all that there is of more traditional. No the play between the parts, very is adjusted perfectly. My fear related to the stick rabatable, and well the articulation is out of metal and the whole has the very solid air. The caoutchou in end of stick is of good quality (moless, touched). Idem for the remainder of the counterpart, an impression of general solidity out of spring. There are parts metal (the same one as TM, it is a copy at 100%): selector (which have the robust air), rails, trigger, aiming, mask flame, various parts of junctions (as for the stick), fixings for a thin strap of transport, etc... There are no markings on the body except a kind of square smooth of 2x2cm on a side which constraste with the granularity of the remainder of the body as well as a made in clouded below the stick beside screws driving chock. The magazine is a copy of Hi Cape Marui: 470bb, 2000 drawn balls ICS without any blow with vacuum (blocking which I had initially noted with the delivered sachet of balls was thus surely with the bad quality of the balls delivered with). The mini battery 1100mah is fixed in the guard hand very easily, it is enough to push a pin then to draw it on other side. The fitting is with the mm near and Ca does not move of a hair. Side autonomy it holds the day (2000 bb). With regard to the power, the announced 330FPS seem well there, Ca types (update extremely: passage to the chrony guarder between 350 and 360fps)! Level gives rhythm, I would say small ten bb to the second, they are not monstrous. The precision at exit of limps is good, I group on a target of 25x25cm with 20m, I waits until the join hop up is done before regulating the bodies of aiming and the hop up. Its access is very sympatic on the other hand: it is necessary to draw a kind of retractable lever which takes along with him the trape of ejection of the casings (out of metal) derière which is the mollette adjustment, rather broad. Edict: after the first test of the hop up, it goes extremely: to the minis of the 0,23 leave straight, to maximum they fall Ã*.pic to 15m. It is thus delivered with a mini batery 1100mah and a charger who never had to be used on a European catch because he returns ONLY in catches PUNTS to 2 holes (without ground thus), the fault with the edge of the normal catches which prevents to insert it. Only one catch in my house is appropriate ^^ There is also a pull knob of maintains and a sachet 200 balls (berk) but not bb loader...: / To finish some details: __________________________________________________ _______________ 2e Part: Gearbox disassembling Here some photograph of the interior of the gearbox. One little to say that it is lubricated!! there is everywhere! The unit inspires solidity, the GEARS are out of metal and they have me the air ultra costau (marking turnover < - > Classic Army???), on the other hand the plastic blanc/jaune of the tapet punts and consors made cheap, but in the worst case it is not dearest A to change. The join of the piston seems to float. The bushings are out of plastics. The engine is étiquetté Shuang Ba, like the battery. http://cheapos.forum2jeux.com/La-Che...-AEG-t1534.htm |
I got mine yesterday and im very very happy with it. The gun shoot loud, i still want to find a gun doc in my region to show me how to replace the bushings and clean/regrease the gearbox.
|
I picked one up about a week ago. Love it too.
Gotta take it apart and mosfet it, deans connectors, and metal bushings and shim. AND REPAINT THE #$$%$^% ORANGE FLASH HINDER. To take apart: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/in...howtopic=43274 http://www.mechbox.com/site/upgrades...bly-video.html shimming ( a bit of science and a bit of art) http://www.geocities.com/wajoegween/aegshim.htm |
could you post how the deans connectors work out for you.
|
Quote:
I use deans now, and the improvement is appreciable... Don't solder them yourself unless you are comfortable with a soldering iron. Also, when disconnecting, use care and grip by the actual connector and not by the wire. |
JG g36 now in version 3
Did they only change the bushings or internals too? really should be called verson 2.1. imo ECHO1USA: G36C New Version http://airsoft-news.eu/e107_images/i...azmak-tran.gifECHO1's G36C is now in third version. Plastic bushings are replaced with metal ones: Gents, ECHO1 USA is proudly to announce our new Version 3 G36C. The new Version 3 G36C is using metal bushing sets which is much more durable than the previous version with "plastic bushing". The version 3 G36C is available now in US. Please contact your local ECHO1 dealers for details. |
Just got mine last night from Schwag. Very impressed. Hits like a hammer, very solid build. I will definatly buy JG again.
|
I've used these and they're great. I'm not just saying that because I sell them.
I sell them because for the money, there is NO better deal than a jg or echo. I have a marui and you'll see me using my jg from now on. |
JG G36C
Got mine yesterday, from having a little play around with the gun very nice, I was expecting a crap battery but I seem to be finding myself surprised by it, a 1100mah Ni-HM not a 600mah Ni-cd like the manual says.
On first use the battery made some fizzing noises when it was worked hard, but the battery seems to be in fine condition. It had some condensation on the plastic wrapping that hold the cells together, so I'm putting it down to the humid climate the battery was made in, and the heat of it working just cooking off that moisture. Sounds bad but it's nothing to worry about. If that’s the case a few more good work outs and it’ll be moisture free. The charger is a pain with its two pins (UK man) but a soldering iron and some solder means you rewire a 3 pin plug to it, and remove the 2 pins using one of the holes for the new plug wire :P seems to work fine. As for the gun, well, as everyone’s been saying; great gun, identical if not better than the TM, maybe not as reliable but don’t know only just got it so time will tell. It’s getting used this weekend so that'll be its first real test for me and looking forward to it from the feedback I've read here and other forums. Get one if you don’t have one, you won’t be sorry! Top gun and a lot more sexy than any M4, and it based on European gun which is always better in my books lol :P and cheep too boot! |
BuyAirsoft no longer sells JG guns.
Here's a bit of an endurance update. After seeing the JG G36C in action the entire summer season (err 15-20 games, maybe more), it looks like JG is the real deal. There have been absolutely no problems with the gun internally or externally and the gun fires as new. Nothing externally has fallen or broken off and my friend has not been easy on the gun. Thousands of rounds have been fired through the gun and it shoots as well now as it did when it was new (after the quirks were initially fixed). :) The stock 8.4V 1100mAh NiMH battery has had no problems either and no other battery has been used with the gun this year. Err I see that Echo-1 is stating that its guns come with CA gears like it's a feature, I'd like to mention again for the record that this JG G36C came with CA gears by default as well. |
Are the JG and Echo of the same quality?
|
They are both JG guns. Echo just imports JG guns cleans up the mech box a bit and swaps the spring and sells them under their name. Price wise the echo is a few bucks more tho.
|
Than where to get those JG guns??
|
Based on this thread I picked up a JG G36C from 007. I haven't had an airsoft gun for about 20 years so my expectations were a bit low but this thing is unreal. Solid feel for plastic. Ridiculously accurate, solid feeling. I'll see how it likes a damp winter but I'm glad I started with this instead of dropping a K on a metal one.

You can get it at Anderson and Anderson Airsoft!

What. The. Fuck. Are you serious with that paint scheme? Lol.
And are you sure it's wise to give children powerful airsoft guns? |
C'mon, they're only Jing Gong. What's the worst they can do, punch through a panel of sheet metal? Wait, that's not good...
...yeah, how old are your "kids"? And doesn't the Halo 3 theme kinda eliminate the purpose of Airsoft? No offence, but if they want to play Halo, shouldn't they just play Halo? Anyway, the weird colours aside, you did a pretty good job with the actual painting. Nice and precise. |
whew! lol for a second I thought JG was making them in those colours.

Those are pretty nifty, and well adult supervised airsoft now, their on the good road to being great mature airsofters when their older. Love the red vs blue idea.
|
Got tired of the battery slithering around as the handguard slides on. A bit of sticky back velcro and it stays in the right area. Don't put it to close to the muzzle end or the grip will bind.

You said you got yours JG G36C at 007 Airsoft right? Did it come with the orange tip? does it have original trademarks on it like the TM ones and the real steel ones? By the way, in what part of Canada are you located and how much did 007 airsoft charged you for shipping? tahnks |

I'm in the middle of BC but I picked it up from Ken on a trip to Calgary. I handled it back to back with the TM version and cound't tell a massive difference in the 2 with my ditch digger hands. |

What i mean is that the actual flash hider is not permanently painted orange like the ones in the US, right? thx |
I got my hands on the JG G36C today, so I was able to compare it directly to my TM G36C. The TM gun seems to weight a little more, and it feels a little more sturdy, but that aside, the only big difference was the lack of trades. There were a few obvious seam-lines when compared to the TM, but nothing major. One note-worthy item is the colours. On the TM G36C, the charging handle, ejection port cover, and bolt-release (I believe it is) are all a light grey, whereas these pieces are black on the JG. Also, the fire indicator icons on the JG are more orange than red, as they are on the TM G36C.
Performance-wise, it shoots hard, fast, and accurately, and if you're into the high-caps, you can't go wrong, since they're standard with JG. The JG magazines and TM magazines will also clip together without issue. I did notice that the JG's stock swivel was much stiffer than mine, but it was brand new and had never been used, so I can't say whether it is more stable than the TM's, or if mine was just loose from being used. Overall, I'd recommend it, especially for the $400 price-tag vs. TM's $600 G36C. I still like the TM better, but if price is a factor, the JG won't disappoint, as long as the small details aren't important to you. Great gun! |
yikes, JG G36c $400. It should not cost that much. I just put in a few parts and will be getting a few more including mosfet soon. Overall happy with it. Fun gun.

A bit off topic, but
HOLY SHIT. JG (I think, as Echo1 primarily rebrands their guns) has just come up with THIS. http://www.airsoft-news.eu/news.php A MINIGUN. Click the link for a video. A 400fps affordable minigun? I think SO, JG or not. |
WTF I would like to show up to a CQB with that. All it needs is optional flamethower and shoulder tank. I love JG even more over time. looks funny with all the red tips. and Danke thanks for the velcro tip. I'm going to pop in a 9.6v battery after then rest of the upgrades. I'll let you guys know how it goes if you want and thinking of putting in Gandolfs 2008 mini computer for the 3 round burst, after I take out the mosfet I'm having put in a few days. Quote:

I’ve received quite a few requests via emails and PMs on Airsoft Canada for an update on my friend’s JG G36C and since about a year has passed, I figure it’s time to take a look at the gun again. Please keep in mind though that the gun is not stock and had installed metal bushings right from day one.
http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg The JG G36C has seen ~30 outdoor games, my teammate is not easy on her gun and despite going all out when playing cosmetically the AEG is in excellent condition. The high wear parts (like the pistol grip and handguard) have gotten a bit glossy but no more so than TM AEGs. I was rather surprised to see that the fire selector markings were still near mint and clearly visible on both sides. The 8.4V 1100mAh battery still keeps a full charge and has been the only battery used with the gun throughout the year. I figure there would be a couple of issues with the gun and I was right (even though I was reassured that the gun was operating properly). Upon plugging the battery in and installing it into the fore grip, I pulled the trigger and with the gun set to semi, there was nothing. On full auto the gun fired just fine and the response was quick but on semi there was nothing. I planned to open up the mechbox to inspect the parts anyway and now I get to diagnose a problem yay… http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg After taking out the mechbox, I noticed that the inner barrel was not secured to the outer barrel. Taking the whole assembly out of the body, I noticed that one of the tabs that holds the hopup unit and inner barrel to the outer barrel was broken and on the other side the outer barrel section that secures the hopup unit in place broke clean as well. G36 users know though that this is not too big a deal and the gun can operate without any issues. Working on a few other G36 guns, I noticed this happens to TM and CA models too. http://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpghttp://www.colinsun.com/Colin/nfblog....thumbnail.jpg The mechbox and the internal components were in excellent condition and there was little wear on any of the moving parts. Pictures say more than words can so click the thumbnails to get higher resolution images. I’m not sure what the problem with the gun was but after rebuilding the mechbox the JG G36C had no problems firing in semi. Putting the gun back together, I loaded a mag with 0.2g BBs and it’s time to chrony the thing. According to my Guarder Speeder 2000, after 30 games and unknown thousands of rounds the JG G36C comes in firing at 355 fps on average. That’s 10-15 fps lower than when the gun was new but springs do lose power when they’re used. There you have it, after a year’s worth of use the JG G36C is still functioning quite well. Yes there were a few problems here and there but it was nothing that a good gun doc couldn’t fix. |
Nice follow up. I have the same gun with the mods listed in my signature.

Hey Colin, did that G36 run on a 120 spring?

Mine has been great so far, only issue is that last weekend it shoot with poor range ( usualy its great) and no matter what I did with the hop-up it did not change. Could it be a compression issue or more hop-up related?
|
I have owned one for a few months now, and have had no probs with it yet ,great gun!
|
love the g36cs
|
Just a quick FYI for future readers:
The stock JG 36c brass inner barrel I pulled out was 256-257mm NOT 247 like I was expecting with the upgrade to Prometheus 6.03. eg http://www.cobraairsoft.com/product_...c0067180afaa5a |
Hey, I'm a newbie looking for a good starter gun and although I have 500$ available for one I've always like G36's and these one seem to be made out as new-player-friendly. Anyway my question is, I have the opportunity to buy one of these used;(but not much)the seller claims he bought it for 400 and is asking for 200. Neither of these prices seem to match what I've been reading and so my question is what is a good price for one of these second hand (assuming it was in good condition and came with everything in the box)?
|
got mine a few weeks ago, love it, runs smoothly out of the box, I have yet to open it up, but i will once i get my bushings+sorbo to install.
One question, the tiny hex screw on the flash hider would not budge on mine, no matter what i did...after about a week of frastration with it, I'm stuck, any one have a recomendation? |
fist of all are u shure its a 1.5mm hex key, if not your going no were. next if you have a ugly blaze tip and thats why u are removing it its probaly glued down with some sort of adhesive. your going to need to ask some one with more exprence on how to get rind of the adhesive as i have never come in contact with it but i know this is most likely your problem.
|
yeah im sure its a 1.5mm, and why would they glue it down? there are threads under it, they must know that people will want to replace it with silencers .ect...
|
I think because it needs to be orange at the tip for the states, so they glue it in place not realizing most guys paint it?
|
that seems kinda dumb, they add threads so that you can take it off, then glue it down so you can't??
|
no its the law and its to save kids lifes down their who would remove it and commit stuiped acts in public. thats what you get for buying airsoft form the states though their is ways to remove it but its not nice serce around the froum I recall some one syaing they did.
|
Drill and drill bit. Any semi-mechanically inclined person would resort to that I'm sure, I would anywho.
|
there was a thread on how to remove this screw on this exact same gun, forgot the title of the thread tho, the guy had bought it from Mopic IIRC
|
hmm, well if you find that thread that would be helpfull, i think i will drill it out, any ideas on a bit size? like just a 1.5?
|
Turn the hider clockwise a bit to loosen it then try unscrewing the tiny hex screw.
|
clockwise looking AT IT OR AWAY FROM IT?
|
clockwise when looking at the gun fro the front. It tightens CCW when looking from front. Try 1/8 of a turn if possible then try to take the hex screw out with the tiny allen key.
|
you know the rule, lefty loosie righty tighty?
the flash hider is threaded on anticlockwise, turn it the opposite way you'd normally turn a screw to get it out, it's not glued down with adhesive, I had no issues getting mine off. The grub screw/ socket set screw that's in there can be a bit of a buggar but it should come out (gurb screws in normally, the flash hider unscrews the opposite.. ) |
Mine was glued down when I first got my JG. Also read somewhere some ARE glued...I think it was in the classifieds section.
|
Before i can get it off i have to deal with the hex screw, i think that might have gotten glued in...no matter what I do, it won't budge...I think i will drill it...
|
well try a higer quilty set of hex keys as you dont want to strip the thing and u might have that problem but you might also be getitng the drection wrong lol anyways good luck
|
buy airsoft shippes their guns from the US...
