ICS From Buyairsoft.ca

Hi i was wondering if anyone had purchased any ICS guns from buyairsoft.ca, as they sell alot of replica brands i was wondering if they are acually ICS brand name guns and if they were of good value, im a little sceptic because buyairsoft.ca sells their MP5 A4 for around $435 cdn. and most other retailers sell theirs for around $600,

Also i am lookin at buying the UTG deluxe bolt action sniper rifle, wondering if anyone has any comments on that gun aswell.

Thanks alot for your help as this is my first major airsoft purchase.

P.s. ill only be ordering these guns if buyairsoft.ca gets them instock :P it seems like its been awile but mabey im just anxious

aZn_triXta07 May 8th, 2007 22:51

The ICS Guns they sell are legit. For your first airsoft gun please read the FAQ it tells you what to look for and what is more suitable to play with. Also higher end guns are pre-order only.

DarkerWhite May 9th, 2007 00:07

Thank you very much, the buyairsoft.ca site wont allow me to place an order without the product being instock

mcguyver May 9th, 2007 00:13

If you plan on playing the EAR fields like The Gardens (Leduc), an MP5 would be a much better choice for you (to start with) than a bolt-action rifle that shoots 350 fps (maybe). Usually to get the effective range that would maximize use of such a gun means you're upgrading it to 450+ fps and that's not really practical for the UTG.

DarkerWhite May 9th, 2007 00:30

Yes im also leaning to the MP5 as an in game weapon, I love the idea of a sniper and thats what is making me want to buy both... lol ive got an itch in my wallet lol... also about gear and mags... would the star brand mags work with the ICS MP5

mcguyver May 9th, 2007 00:38

Star is fine, as well as G&P, Marui and ICS for highcaps should you like those.

Many new guys start out with highcaps and as EAR doesn't limit them very often anymore, they may have ammo limits in effect that will vary from game to game. Highcaps are easy to load in the field, but their Achilles heal is the noise factor. When half-full, the BBs rattle around and make a God-awful racket and it makes being stealthy pretty difficult.

Low caps are the way to go, but 30rnd. Star lows are a little too low. 50 round lows and 100 round mid-caps are the ticket for the MP5.

DarkerWhite May 9th, 2007 01:20

Thanks alot i think ive made my choice. mabey ill wait on the sniper but its so gosh darn good looking. idont like the idea of hicaps, thats what it comes with and a 50 or 100 sounds nice, although i do like the deal of 10 star mags from 007 airsoft.

yes yuxi the price does seem good it seemed too good at first but if you guys say its legit then im all for the MP5 :D

007 doesn't have any mp5 mags, just to let ya know.
Well, they do, but really expensive TM standard caps.

DarkerWhite May 9th, 2007 02:15

yes your right none instock, in there products list is there not a 10 pack of star 30 round mags?

Styrak May 9th, 2007 02:17

Right, but like you observed, those are not "in-stock", and probably won't be given 007's recent minimal imports/sales. Get some from Ebay or the US.

ChappyAK May 9th, 2007 02:35

i have now purchaed 7 weapons from Buy airsoft.ca. (for me and a few buddies) Each one was exactly as advertized...(they just have lower prices for some reason) I should ad that these were all "high Grade" weapons tho.
We bought them a few months ago when they were in stock and they were at my frony door within 8 days from the order date. I am however still waiting on delivery for a Hi-Cappa 5.1. his item was not in stock. Im trcking it right now and should have it next mon. or tues. (that will be almost one month to the day for the day I ordered it...) All in all this site has really been good to me. I thot id add that I ordered a frick load of steel Mags from Anderson and Anderson and they were on time and exactly as advertized...however the price was totally outlandish.( I'm just a sucker for metal EVERYTHING!!!!)

I hope you and all you're buddies are 18+

Lakonian May 9th, 2007 08:47

BAM! Well, apparently Buyairsoft doesn't check age. I sure as hell hope they're not selling to little shithead 13 year olds, with daddy's credit card.

Karnage May 9th, 2007 09:36

I've been watching their website for a week now and they never seem to have any AEGs in stock

Spawn28 May 9th, 2007 11:21

When they were updating there webpage a while back they had it posted that they were not taking preorders anymore. they said they would on sale what was in stock and seeing how they get one shipment a month....

cameraman May 9th, 2007 22:25

For MP5 mags try www.airsoftparts.ca http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...x&cPath=71_104

Spawn28 May 10th, 2007 08:51

well its been well over a month and still no new stock
and that email i recieved was about 4 days ago regarding pre-orders

DarkerWhite May 10th, 2007 14:40

Wonder if it has to do with Customs similar to the problems 007 had been having, well so i've heard...

freewheelin4eva May 10th, 2007 14:54

I too have been waiting on them to get a shipment in, but it has been more than a month, and still no rifles, or hand guns, I sent them a email on monday asking if they plan on getting more stuff in, or if I should stop waisting my time, and buy somewhere else. No reply yet though. It looks to me like they are throwing in the towel.

Cortexburn May 10th, 2007 15:18

Speculation on my part but I think they have been getting the airsoft stuff shipped in with or described as paintball stuff as they are a local paintball field. If that was the case and they were found to be doing so...that would be unfortunate for them. I'm hoping that isn't so as it's nice to have a local retailer. It would be good to hear otherwise.

freewheelin4eva May 11th, 2007 00:26

Well I just got a replie from them and they said:
Quote:

Canada Customs is currently reassessing most products we have previouslybeen able to import. We are expecting a delay of 3-6 months before wecan start importing a full range of products again. Please keep postedto our website for monthly updates regarding our progress. We willhowever, continue to have other airsoft items available for purchase onBuyAirsoft.Ca.
So it does not look too god for them right now.

DarkerWhite May 11th, 2007 01:28

That bites i dont see myself gettin that ICS from them now... lol mabey next year :P or during winter :D thanks alot for your guys input on the situation

ChappyAK May 11th, 2007 01:44

I wish i was under 18 again... 13 years have gone by fast....lol

Basically, this means they will need to get "the license" in order to be able to import replicas. They will not get a "Gee, I guess it's OK" letter from the CBSA.

Too bad for them. They can always get in accessories though.

Naerah May 11th, 2007 03:16

Yeah i know... I had hopes to attend at least one event before winter's coming. I REALLY begin to think about buying a cheap ass co2 bb gun at canadian tires to plink at(INSIDE AND NOT IN FRONT OF WINDOWS lol) home while waiting to either find a deal or buyairsoft.ca's liscence.

mcguyver May 11th, 2007 03:21

You're age verified. You can always rely on the fact that there will always be used guns for sale. The classifieds can be your friend.

WarHawk109 May 11th, 2007 19:08

Agree. I was waiting for their shipment so that I can get a Glock 26 from them. Just hope they will be able to get back to their "usual" business soon.

Good Old Sundown May 11th, 2007 20:12

I don't know if they will get back to their "usual" buisness anytime soon. They'll have nothing to sell for 3-6 months according to their email. I know of no buisness that can survive that kind of dry spell.
Hopefully this stupid thing will blow over soon. I was really hoping for a G-36 too...

Cortexburn May 11th, 2007 20:21

They will survive as they are actually a paintball buisness, that is their bread and butter and airsoft is/was a new opportunity. If they get things worked out with regards to licences or customs they will be selling again.

DarkerWhite May 11th, 2007 21:32

Sure hope they get their licences and what else they need to get back up in order.

shifty51 May 11th, 2007 21:53

so long l96, we hardly knew ye....

Moz May 12th, 2007 00:33

note that the license will increase the cost of guns from buyairsoft.ca because the license itself costs quite a bit annually.

Cortexburn May 12th, 2007 00:47

The odds of them getting a licence is.....well.....don't hold your breath.
