Battery Charger

Allright, i'm ordering my first airsoft gun tonight (already sent an e-mail out to 007) and was just wondering what you, the community thinks of:

Rapid Charger SKU # 40034

http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/consumables.htm

for a 8.4V 600mA Mini Battery (I'm getting a P90 so the mini batt is a needed thing)

While i won't be playing for awhile till i work up the funds for my gear, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say about that charger

For that amount of money, you're much better of going with the BB Bastard NPT charger.

dodger_me August 10th, 2007 20:23

i would say thats the way to go as its the only one he has designed for Nimh

I'm no expert on batteries, but the BB Bastard site list the charger as "Advanced NPT 1000-3000mah Charger" and my battery will br a 8.4V 600mA Mini Battery is mah and mA the same thing? If so would my battery still be OK with the NPT charger?

Basically, 8.4v 600mah NiCd minis are very much outdated. You're much, much better off investing in 8.4v 1400mah NiMH minis made by Intellect. Trust me, it's a world of difference and worth every penny.

Could i get a link to a retailer? (if it's not too much trouble of course)

They don't have any in stock right now, but since you're not getting your gun for a little while yet, they'll have plenty of time to order in some for you. Cheaper than the 600mah minis at 007, too, by a long shot.

Oh i plan to order it tonight or tommorow (and hopefully recieve it next week, since i'm going with ground delivery)

But my main reason for replying is to thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and help me out

007's website doesn't show any P90s in stock, though. Have you already confirmed that they have them in?

Only 1 left in stock...

http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=137

He also has the charger you want in stock, but it might not be the best one as someone else mentionned.

i just KNOW this is a stupid question, but how do you know 007 has no P90s? it doesn't say Temp Unavailable or anything

The Saint August 10th, 2007 21:48

You click on the link at the top that says "In Stock", it shows you what they've got listed as in.

Omi-san August 10th, 2007 21:53

To see what 007 has in stock, you have to click on "in stock" on the top menu of his site.

As you will see, he only has mags and accessories in stock.

You'll have to be patient and wait a couple of weeks to get your P90.

Aimazon.ca has one TM P90, but I don't know if it's a reliable site.

Gato August 10th, 2007 21:54

According to that they have NO AEGs so i just e-mailed 007

The Saint August 10th, 2007 21:55

I think you're better off getting age verified and buying from the classified, personally. It'll be a lot cheaper.

Oh, getting age verified is on my list of things to do, considering i just turned 18 in june, but i prefer to get my stuff brand bew (not that i think i'll get ripped off or anything, it's just a preference)

Omi-San:

So 007 WILL be getting more AEGs, i'm just wondering because i've heard it's hard to get guns into Canada

JTF27 August 10th, 2007 22:00

My cousin ordered a P90 also and it's being ordered from Japan first. Be patient.

Oh i haven't ordered yet, i was just wondering but thanks to ALL of you for answering my questions and helping out

The Saint August 10th, 2007 22:05

Well, you've wait until you turned 18, so it's the least we can do.

Unfortunately, I can tell you that there are no new P90s for sale in the classified.

I understand the desire the buy something brand new, but if 007 don't have P90s in stock, you should also contact A&A and see if they can get you one in quicker and/or cheaper.

I don't know if or when 007 will have AEGs in stock again. It seems like he is only taking pre-orders from people these days. The last time I saw an AEG in stock on his site was when I joined ASC a couple weeks ago.
