New gas-powered reuseable VFC grenade
Green gas/propane ready, and apparently it has adjustable fuse timing (1 sec > 1 min)

Hey I read something about these somewhere, I think it was in some post about an airsoft show how someone had come up with these. I like the looks. Wonder how long before we start seeing them on our fields.

Pretty cool, very realistic.

Do you folks think that using the same idea as these have, but replacing the refillable propane part of the grenade with one of those mini CO2 canisters like Airguns use would work? Or would that be to much power per use?

Why would you want to? at what .80 a shot vs pennies with propane... |

seems really easy to use, refill and go I love how the spoon just flings off |

More blast, but after watching some of the videos, it seems like it does well enough with propane. It was just a random idea. |
Does anyone know if they come with adjustable timers? That last video, it took over 20sec, to pop... Way too long if yor are clearing a room or bunker.
To me, it looks like the brass nod on top, is the adjustable timer... |
Probably the best gas grenade so far. Looks like it would be great for indoors.
|
That looks like a great design. Way better then the current lineup of gas grenades where they explode into a million pieces only to get lost.
I was hoping the Sheriff bangs would come soon but I think i'll keep an eye out for these instead. |
Shit, looks like I'm gonna have to give Jugglez, or Ken more of my paycheck...

Looks like loading is going to be a bitch. Pop in one bb at a time. I think the second video shows a white plastic sleeve which is used to retain the pellets.
|
Reverse engineering anyone?
|
Looks like a gas flow restriction based timer similar to what's in a Deepfire grenade. Allow the valve stem to rise and gas flows through an adjustable restriction until a pressure difference across a part decays and the valve body pops open releasing gas.
The pneumatics are inside the thick walled body (~6mm thick) which hold gas and perform delay function. A mesh inside the body prevents bbs from falling into the body and rattling around. A plastic sleeve with holes (a little less than 6mm) around the outside retains bbs so they don't fall out of the body (actually an array of 6mm long barrel). A gap around the valve body and mesh acts as a pressure manifold which applies equal pressure to the backs of the pellets. I'm guessing pellets are pushed past the sleeve individually (ugh...) so they seat inside the thick walled body between the mesh and the undersized sleeve holes. |
I waaant....

look at the deepfire grenades. does anyone think its better than this
|
Much less parts to lose IMO, only the pin and spoon. The others break into 4, pin, spoon, etc...

Looks dangerous, I don't think anyone should use them.
|
I definitly going to buy like 8 of these and throw them all over my backyard.

because that is what ppl use right now since there is no affordable "comercial" grenades... I want at least 2, maybe more.... even if they are 100$ each... probably will be more usefull than my GBB anyways... |
