SR-25 Bipod
On the picture below, what bipod is that? I'm looking for the exact one. It seems pretty short compare to what i can find. Also, is it using an adapter or direct RIS attachable? Thanks ;)
http://www.knightarmco.com/images/srm110sass_weeds.jpg P.S: Yes i know its a SR-M110, but its basically a SR-25. |
Not sure, but the profile looks exactly like my Harris Bipod. (I'm looking at them both right now)

Lol those are the one i was looking at. Anyone knows which one of those it would be? So many choices... Edit: Where would i get one of those in Canada? I'm always told 'real steel' websites... marstar doesn't have them and thats the only real steel website i know^^ |
I have the 6"-9" RIS version, I find that totally sufficient for my needs - plus it's a little lighter. From the photo, I assume he has the 9"-13" version.
They attach though various means, but I have an adapter that attaches directly onto my RIS. |
I would expect it to be a HBR-S (6 to 9" with swivel). The harris bipods attach to sling studs and you can get a ris adapter with a sling stud from various manufacturers.

SR-M110? Isn't that DPMS' version? Preeeettty sexy stuff.
|
It looks like an S-series HBR-M, which is exactly what I used on these two replicas:
http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsof...8/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsof...8883/large.jpg fyi, the free floating rail handguards I used in both of those models are almost the exact same length as an SR-25 / SR-M110 SASS forend. The first picture of the SPR mk12 mod 1 used a replica of the A.R.M.S. #32 throw-lever bipod mount. The second picture of the SR-15 Match used a replica of the KAC bipod mount. |

Ok i'll look into all this info and try and minimize cost (fucking college books) while still getting the real stuff. Just wondering something, those bipods... do they make any noise? Like creeks/rackling/TCHUNG!? |
Those bipods can be easily found at a hunting store - I got mine at Le Baron's for... I believe it was $130 and change... plus tax.
As for noise... no noise. These are extremely solid. It would cost more to get an airsoft bipod that performs like crap. Get a Harris. The only time they emit a loud noise is when you're either: a) Deploying or tucking back the legs or b) Retracting the spring-loaded telescopic legs Of course, you can keep it quiet by controlling the movement. |
No noise during normal use. But they do make noise when extending/shortening since they need to 'click' into place, so nothing out of the ordinary. You'll be happy with one.

I hear they're quite fun to shoot , too. I don't know how much has been improved on, but it sure seems a helluva lot more accurate. |
I'v been on Le Baron website and i can't find any bipods for sale... bleh.
Also on the picture in the OP, what scope rings can i get that have a similar look for a good price (preferably RS). Those Knight's one cost $250cad lol |
Not sure about the scope rings, but I was at Le Baron's a couple weeks ago (Markham store) and they did have Harris Bipods in stock. I believe there's a Le Baron in Montreal - you could go down there or phone to be sure.

Honestly I don't know how good they really are in the field. I have seen a few used by local airsofters and they seem to do the job nicely. Fit and finnish is pretty good as well. Cheaper by about half of a Harris...that now that I think about it Le Barons stocks as well so you should be able to compare the two and make your mind up that way.

I recall ever seeing Rock Mounts at the store I go to, just Harris bipods. Probably safer to call and confirm, and if they don't have any, I'm sure they'll order one in for you from another location.
|
Went to Le Baron today. They didn't have any Harris Bipods but they had the cheaper knock off. I checked on the brand and its some chinese clone they try to sell for $90 + taxes. They also didn't have any RIS adapter. I said fuck this and i'm gonna order from the US since it's gonna cost me $80 with shipping for a Harris Bipod + RIS adapter. I'll just make sure not to use USP.

If anyone of you guys got one for sale (for RIS) or know of a online place... please do tell :D
