Anyone ever order from www.ehobbyasia.com?

Well this is a ebay store

http://www.ehobbyasia.com/

was wondering if anyone ever order from these guys? And if anyone can take a look at the prices and let me know, is it decent?

Hes willing to ship to canada, although i dont know the shipping rates as of now

Im thinking about getting a batter bag, gun case bag, and few internal parts like shims and spring, and get it all combined shipped.

Any suggestions?

Can anyone suggests any other alternatives besides the classifieds for parts that can be bought accross the borders?

Lastly what parts in general shouldnt be ordered from across borders...

Thanks for addressing these questions

Jessey

Ordered a lot from them. Shipping on time and great prices.

So long as you stick to unrestricted items, go wild. I've ordered from them plenty of times, they're great. They don't always combine shipping though.

Topsy September 12th, 2007 12:45

They are awesome. I've bought at least a grand worth of stuff from eHobbyasia, and never had a single problem. Well, actually, once I got a bad pressure switch on a green laser from them, and they sent me a new one free! Great service and fast shipping!

I've bought metal mags, a silencer, slides, lasers, rails, sights, etc; the packages are usually opened by customs, but passed on through w/o an issue. Just had a M3 replica arrive from eHobbyasia yesterday!

Highly reccomended!

BTW: shipping rates are the same as the US listed shipping rate. If you order a bunch of stuff, wait for an invoice by e-mail and they will usually give you a discount.

Styrak September 12th, 2007 14:15

I had an order for parts, and the shipping was $36, and they reduced it by $5 because I ordered multiple items (6).

No metal bodies definitely.

what about a silencer? you think this will make it through?

also they post it as inner precision barrels 6.03 mm, is that same as a tightbore?

A bunch of people have received silencers from overseas, I believe. Yes, the 6.03 barrels are "tightbores".

ThunderCactus September 12th, 2007 17:45

i love em, but theres things you need to watch out for, like certain items which systema makes, but area 1000 also makes, will typically be area 1000 (cheap systema stuff, not that good)
read everything carefully to make sure your getting what you want, but its a great site, thats where i get all my parts

RacingManiac September 13th, 2007 14:28

Fast to deal with cheap-ish ship rate....

Tankdude September 13th, 2007 14:40

Why isn't ehobbyasia in the internation dealers list?

Styrak September 13th, 2007 14:57

A company has to ask to be placed there, I believe.

Skladfin September 13th, 2007 18:47

they dont have shipping tracking though =(

ordered a box of AR Mags from them. I should be receiving it soon.

Zero September 13th, 2007 19:04

I do an order every 6 or 8 weeks. Longest one took 13 business days. All with tracking numbers. And about 1/2 of my orders get combined shipping. Average order is between 4 and 5 hundred dollars.

Tankdude September 13th, 2007 19:13

How much do you save if they combine shipping? A few bucks?

Holy shit what do you buy?

Skladfin September 13th, 2007 19:52

Huh? Why didn't I get a tracking #?

Topsy September 13th, 2007 19:55

Its been my experience, that you only get a tracking # from ehobby if it's a bigger order, then they usually ship ems/purolator (when it gets in country) and forward you tracking #. Small orders don't get 'em.

Yeah, you don't get a tracking number.
But fear not, you'll get your stuff.

Skladfin September 13th, 2007 21:25

I see... great :) I can't wait for my HK AR mags man...can't wait,....

I mean... the engravings...

"Sterling VA, Germany"

Turns me SOO on.

lol really? I ordered a spring, spring guide and a piston head but still got a tracking number

I think all you have to do is ask for it

Did you pay for insurance though?

nope just paid normal shipping (same as the US shipping rate)

Styrak September 13th, 2007 23:18

Curious.

dodger_me September 13th, 2007 23:28

THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

lol....

Topsy September 14th, 2007 00:15

Hmmm. I have no idea then how it works. If I order small stuff (a couple things that at largest fit in a 8 1/2" bubble envelope), eHobby ships it by HK airmail regular post, but the two big orders I made (over $400.00 each), they shipped via EMS (Purolator couriered it on this side), and mailed me a tracking #. Only ever received two tracking #'s on the two big orders I've made, everything else I just got a shipped e-mail notice, and they arrived within a couple weeks.

Anyhow, great service by eHobby!

Yes, in any case, they have great service. Quick email replies (in decent english), awesome prices, and decent shipping times.

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 00:37

Ive contacted them twice and they haven't replied...

At what times? And how long has it been?

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 00:44

Ive shot them emails at Pacific Time, I forgot. The first Ebay message has been like 5days, second one I just sent this afternoon.

Styrak September 14th, 2007 00:48

That's very unlike them.
They usually answered my emails within 24 hours.
Must be busy or something.

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 00:51

Emails.. or Ebay Messages?

Styrak September 14th, 2007 00:52

Umm. Both I think? An email might get you a faster answer: jpc825@yahoo.com

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 00:54

thanks, ill try it

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 11:02

nice, just got an ebay message back with the Airmail tracking #

TokyoSeven September 14th, 2007 11:23

Usually for me ebay messages are answered from them with in 48 hours.

Styrak September 14th, 2007 11:35

I sent an email wondering about tracking numbers and to give me one if they had one. I'll post the information here when I get an answer!

S.H.I.E.L.D. September 14th, 2007 12:05

I've ordered tons from ehobby and never had any problems. A few later packages but never so late to make ya worry.

Styrak September 14th, 2007 19:01

As I was saying, I would let you guys know about the tracking number.
However, my parts arrived TODAY! 7 business days! Fucking fast shipping!

I hate you... I had to wait about 3 weeks, two of which was spent at customs...

Skladfin September 14th, 2007 21:10

awww, Screw you =( My stuff is still in the air after 5 business days lol. I wonder what the plane is doing

Styrak September 15th, 2007 06:12

Yeah I'm pretty awesome. I also received the Mac11 I bought today. It's like fucking Christmas around here

Skladfin September 15th, 2007 11:44

:'<

Styrak September 15th, 2007 15:06

Oh, and they DID send me a tracking number because I asked. So they must have them, but they don't give them out if you don't ask (too much work?). But I already had my package, so it wasn't much use!

Regan.S September 15th, 2007 15:26

Hey guys what kind of stuff can't make it through customs?
Mags?
Metal Bodys?
Gernade Shells?
Magazine Clamp holders?

Regan.S September 15th, 2007 15:32

Dang I just relized they only accept paypal which I do not have.
