Sniper Rifle

Hey, I'm looking for a decent spring sniper rifle. I really don't know what to look for in a sniper, and I'd like all suggestions :)

Jughead September 24th, 2007 23:03

I had a CA M24 SOCOM.

Nice gun, sexy as hell and upgrades easily with kits made by CA.

The only thing I really hated about the CA is where they have the hop up adjustment, and how the hop up is made period.

But, once you have it set up proper, its a nice gun to have and is rare to see in the field...

Is this your first gun?

Not true. Don't talk about what you don't know. The CA M24 and TM VSR-10 are both formidable spring sniper rifles. But still probably far out of the price range this guy wants to be spending.

Spirit September 24th, 2007 23:09

no this is not my first gun, I've got an AEG M4A1, its made by BOYI, so its cheap, but it works pretty well. Just bought a new spring for it :D
However, I'm looking for spring, for one, they're cheaper, and for 2, I totally prefer that over semi auto gas powered (or electric). Spring is a lot more realistic in my eyes. And yes, I'm going for skirmishes. Are there no decent spring snipers that shoot 400-500 FPS?
even if the sniper doesn't shoot that fast, i can buy a new spring for it easily enough. Granted, that might mean buying a few other parts as well.

Just to let you know, I don't know a whole lot about airsoft, as you guys have probably noticed. I totally enjoy playing it, but theres a lot more that i need to learn. All help towards snipers is appreciated :D

Oh, and price really isn't much of an issue... Well, to a degree, I'm looking for anywhere from 400-700$, dunno what you can get for that tho

TokyoSeven September 24th, 2007 23:13

Not all spring guns are bad. I saw an L96 this weekend being used by one of the sexiest snipers I know, and he was lighting folks up left and right. He was using that because my gas KJ was acting like a piece of shit.

Jughead September 24th, 2007 23:15

Ken at 007 can definatly help you out... PM him with what yo are looking for in a springer and he will give you a quote... And also save you a ton of cash.

kmsakura September 24th, 2007 23:16

ProbeJax September 24th, 2007 23:23

oooohhhhh i really like the looks of that gun, and yes, it falls in my price range. does anyone know the speed and possibly the accuracy of that gun?

Regan.S September 24th, 2007 23:42

Ahh I was looking at that gun too. With a upgraded spring (m130) the gun shoots about 130 meters per second. Which is about 400 feet. You'll need to do a bit of upgrading. The accuracy is great. I seen a field test and heres what happened. From 60 feet the sniper hit the target with all 30 shots, with 10 shots from 90 they all hit, from 120 feet only 3 missed, at 200feet the gun missed 5 shots, which was fixed by using .36gram bb's instead of .30grams.

Technical Information:
Length: 1150mm
Weight: 3350g
Magazine: 30 rds
System: Bolt Action
Built Material: Metal & ABS

Google man. If you see a gun you might be interested in, search it on google. I'll guarantee you'll find lots of info that'll help you make your decision.

LMAO. Yea, an M4 as a sniper rifle. That's about as bad as the MP5 sniper version

Tokyo 7 was talking about my gun being used by Aquamarine:

And yes, it's VERY accurate near stock, and very good range with easy spring swaps. I'm going to be putting the stock barrel back in, as I liked it's performance better than the OK inner barrel I put in.

No. Definitely not.

Check out Blackwater, and AEGIS' snipers... You think they'd be using them if they weren't effective? :p

This is what you need :D

SR-25 <3

Lakonian September 25th, 2007 01:26

You DO know the SR-25 isn't the best platform around, right?

I think you're taking your obsession too far, Ronan.

My CA M24 Military Version. Expert upgrade and deadly accurate. Out of 10 bbs 2 will be off by a few millimeter from the crosshair.

skalnok September 25th, 2007 08:56

personally i like the military version the best for an experienced player but for some1 who isnt experienced as a sniper shouldnt he get an aeg one? for those "just in case" moments?

Greylocks September 25th, 2007 10:45

Spirit, if you want great deals or know more about the guns; show up at a local game (update your profile so local folks can help you), get age-verified (18+ to buy/own), and then you'll see in person what works or not.

Or you can read the Reviews section, the Information section, and use Google.

The meet is faster.

Ghillie973 September 25th, 2007 12:02

CA m24 for the win.

It takes a bit of love & care to set up right, but after that it's amazing. In my opinion, the most realistic BA out there. It doesn't feel light and plasticy like the APS

FOX_111 September 25th, 2007 16:35

So everyone is posting their sniping platform...
Her's mine.

http://70.83.121.224:8080/m700_m24.jpg
CA M24 socom, fully upgraded with custom parts, Legendary acuracy. I made conformed kills at 300ft and more with withness with that baby.

The M700 is still not painted, but will see a bright futur in long ranges engagements where the maximum velocity is higher than most fields. I could constantly hit target at more than 250ft at Sniper Hunt 1 with that kind of rifle (Stalker's one). Now, mine should be on par with his.

Looks like you got your units messed up a bit. Lol, last one says at 600ft the gun only missed 5 shots.

Regan.S September 25th, 2007 17:48

Ooops....

Regan.S September 25th, 2007 17:50

I think I got it right now haha. If not do make fun. =D

Gorgeous paint job on the M24 there. Who did it?

FOX_111 September 25th, 2007 22:32

A dude called Marksman, from Québec. He is in the royal 22rd. I got the rifle from him.
