I love my little Columbia Titanium coat. I felt warm and dry even under the cold rain.

Rifles are CA M24 socom fully upgraded (cadpat) and KJW M700 (black, soon to be painted)
Gear is: Custom plate carrier with P90 magpouchs (for P90, not shown) and a old busted but still usefull CF webbing to carry my rifle mags.

Ronan October 10th, 2007 21:41

Is that a paint job or something?? (cadpat)

Looks freaking awesome.

Edit: Man those pictures are sharp!!!! *whistles*

FOX_111 October 10th, 2007 21:47

Yup, duracoat paintjob, for realsteal made by some dude.
Pictures are from my Nikon D200 with 17-55mm f2.8 lense (pro gear...)

Sergeantmajor October 10th, 2007 21:51

you need a ghillie suit to hide under, nice man, looks really cool.

FOX_111 October 10th, 2007 21:59

Dr_Tinshnipz October 10th, 2007 22:03

yes, the cadpat one. You can also get a M24 with "standard" barrel. It's the "not socom" version I presume.

Goodl2ussian October 10th, 2007 22:07

Awesome pictures =) good camera too

CDN_Stalker October 10th, 2007 22:07

Nice pics, good to see you still use that velcro strap I put on your rifle to press the mag into place. Good idea, eh? Lol

Vince October 10th, 2007 22:08

Nice pics, too bad you're on the wrong side on the 20th (Ok actually I'm really afraid of his sniping skills... )

Where can i get a duracoat like that but in multicam for my SR-25... would be so hot :P Or something along the lines of what my sig has. But i do love the 'pro' look :)

Duracoat is a type of pain for people who wants a long lasting paint that won't chip off like Krylon will do. If you want it in MC you need someone with airbrush skills that will do it for you.

The guy who did the job on the M24 is Marksman and they are chances that he's oversea as we speak seeing how many times he's been deployed.

Ok, thanks Brakoo.

I remember in high school we sent this really dopey kid to the store to buy plaid spraypaint. We didn't see him for about an hour and when he came back he said it looked like it was all sold out because he couldn't find any. Lol

Where did you get the duracoat? Does he make Marpat pattern?

FOX_111 October 11th, 2007 15:54

It's a guy in the CF that used or still play airsoft that made it.

I don't think he is doing this stuff anymore.

If you want a similar job done, I suggest googling it. You will find prefessionnal people that can do it for a fee. Some people here on ASC are still doing it. I don't know who.

BBS October 11th, 2007 20:01

those are some breath taking shots.

I see my old champ in there! how are you liking it Fox?

FOX_111 October 14th, 2007 20:34

The M700 is not shooting straight, but I will fix it. The mag that you sold with it is not usable as it don't hold it's pressure for mor than 3 shots. I got 2 brand new mags that work well.

The scope is not up to my standards and will be replaced too.

Once the rifle is acurised, i'll paint it camo.

All that sound a little bad for this great rifle, but make no mistakes, I'm happy with it. It's just an ungoing project as it is.

It's currently set to fire .30g BB at 500fps.
That's about 550fps with .20g. It's my special purpose rifle, for open fields.

manchovie October 14th, 2007 20:39

for all your missing at high velocity needs? :P

bean October 14th, 2007 20:40

If its firing .3g at 500fps isnt that not closer to 620fps with .2g?

FOX_111 October 14th, 2007 20:51

I'd say it's more like 550fps... but I could be wrong. I did not chrony it with .20g yet. The rifle it not fieldable anyway. I used it 10 minutes at the last game... I did not felt confortable shooting people with it, as it shot all over the place.

EDIT: 615fps with .20g as the same joule output of a .30g at 500fps (3.47joules for a .30g at 500fps, 3.5joules at 615fps for a .20g)
So yeah, it's a little hotter than I mentally calculated, but still, at the distance I intend to use it, it won't make much difference.
The rifle is easely ajustable, so I can tune it down as necessary. It's still in the testing phase.

Angerona October 15th, 2007 04:39

I wouldnt want to be hit with that gun..ouch I get enuff bruises as it is :(

Lakonian October 15th, 2007 04:44

MMmm. I like.

That Cadpat looks fucking beautiful.... give her to meeeee.

Raygis LasVegas October 15th, 2007 13:10

FOX_111, what upgrades do you have for the CA M24? What velocity is it shooting at right now?

Do you ever notice that sometime the sear doesn't catch onto the piston when cocking the CA M24? Or sometimes it is difficult to return the bolt into battery once the action has been cocked?

rideout October 15th, 2007 15:42

very nice

Everything is upgrader except the trigger group. It's shooting a 450fps with .20g.

I never got the problem you mention. Sometime, it's hard to push the bolt back to battery, but that indicate that the mag is empty. It's the nozle pushing on the empty mag lips. If you push too hard, the nozle will make it's way past it, but will scratch the lips and ruin your mags in the long run. When cycling the bolt, you have to be verrrrry gentle. Pull it traight out, wait for the click, than push it slowly back in, feel the BB feed in than aim and shoot. It's hard to do, since the bolt is hard to pull and you have to keep the butt firmly on your shoulder while pulling the bolt. When prone, you have to get the hang of it without pulling a mussle haha.

I once had some problem with it. It was caused by looses screws inside that did not hold the inner barrel in place. Stalked had to one occasion, retap all the main screws because the rifle was not shooting anymore. Not it's fixed and the rifle is back in buisness.

That's because you have weak girly arms Fox :)

I love the paint job on the rifle. Looks even better in person.
