best canadian retailer

Whats the best canadian retailer?
(no second hand shops :) )

Donster November 24th, 2007 14:45

im assuming you mean for airsoft. well there are only two not counting the classified here. they are A&A and 007:

A&A:
http://www.aasurplus.ca/airsoft/

007:
http://www.007airsoft.com/main2.htm

I recommend 007. ill be getting my M14 from them as well as my Mk23

Now these are for airsoft guns. but for accessories and clothing and such, you can pretty much order that from anywhere in the world assuming that it is not a restricted item. For more info on that, go to the FAQ and type in "importing" for the search function. you cant miss the rest. If you have ANY other questions, feel fee to PM me. ill answer them to the best of my knowledge :)

Scooby Steve November 24th, 2007 14:46

Retailer for what?

shot3gun November 24th, 2007 14:50

yes i only do mean "airsoft", not clothing

Mr. G36! November 24th, 2007 14:52

A&A and 007 are Canada's only retailers.

Zombiefruit November 25th, 2007 08:42

buyairsoft.ca?

Spawn28 November 25th, 2007 09:07

Well there is only 2 A&A and 007

Zombiefruit November 25th, 2007 09:16

I thought there was three...

Spawn28 November 25th, 2007 09:36

Buyairsoft.ca sells clearsoft NOT airsoft so that leaves only the 2

Zombiefruit November 25th, 2007 10:06

Ahh, ok. I guess "temporally out of stock" means "permanently out of stock". :p

leblanc74 November 25th, 2007 20:03

I do not like advertising but Dave's Army Surplus has TM M14's (2OD and 2black, 4 in total, one was suppose to be mine be dicided not to get it, getting something else instead) and he also has (2) TM M4A1 and a few KSC Glock17, actually he can get almost anything that if you are willing to wait for 3 to 4 weeks.....and is way cheaper than A&A and 007, go figure....just say to Martin or Rick that I sent you from this forum and he might give you a nice discount also......LeBlanc

I emailed buyairsoft.ca about the non-clear guns last week. I got an email back from them and it said they won't be receiving any more non-clear guns until mid 2008 or so. They will be restocking on ICS and TSD guns, and hopefully carrying some new lines as well. But they WILL be carrying them again. At least that's the plan.

For now though, it's all clearsoft stuff.

shifty51 November 25th, 2007 21:04

buyairsoft was a rip off to start. sure their prices were good, but its still like a 200% markup. I know why we have the mark up, but that doesn't make it any easier taking it in the pants over it.

Crunchmeister November 25th, 2007 21:22

Well I bought a pellet gun and a bunch of stuff from buyairsoft and I got my stuff promptly, and they were pretty fast at responding to email. They even combined shipping for 2 orders I made a couple of days apart and refunded me my shipping for one of the orders. As long as they have a product I want, I'll have no hesitation in shopping with them again.

And regardless who you buy airsoft guns from in Canada, they always cost double to triple what the same guns cost in other countries. That's just the way it is.

+1
Considering 007 and A&A actually have the (rather expensive) licenses, and buyairsoft does not, their markup is retarded.

Foofighter November 26th, 2007 09:58

Yea, but you can't say that 007's markup isn't either...

Cassius November 26th, 2007 10:07

LeBlanc, I'd be very interested but I'm sure I can't contact them online right?

Also, I don't like buyairsoft.ca simply because when browsing their site. The Pro/High Priced/High Grade AEG category consists of TSD and ICS.

If they would stock some TM, CA and Systema; how would they rate that category? Uber-Godly-we-all-bow-to-the-all-mighty Grade?

We all know that ICS and TSD are not Pro or High whatever brands so why make them appear like that? Because it's shit. :)

No; unfortunaltely, you would have to go to the store and talked with the owner then go from there...

Cassius November 26th, 2007 11:10

Dammit!

We need to move Ontario over to Montreal...

Crunchmeister November 26th, 2007 11:13

Hmmm... buyairsoft's too big a markup? It's better to buy from 007?

Let's see:

ICS M16
Buyairsoft.ca: $600
007: $780

ICS M4 variants
Buyairsoft.ca: $600 - 760
007: $750-890

ICS MP5 models
Buyairsoft.ca: $435 - $505, depending on model
007: all models $630

And yes, there are the identical guns, not different models of the same style of gun. These are the all-metal ICS models.

I'm not going to argue the sematics of how they classify their guns as 'pro grade' or not. I don't quite agree with their classification of the guns either, but I'm not going to get my skivvies in a bunch over that. So I'm curious as to the reasoning on how buyairsoft's prices are unreasonable, but 007's are acceptable.

And yes, the ICS stuff is out of stock at buyairsoft.ca. But when it WAS in stock, these were their prices, and IMO a LOT more reasonable than 007. I don't know what the pricing is for ICS at A&A because they're all out of stock there as well.

It may sound like I'm defending buyairsoft here, but really, I'm not. I'm just reading all these comments about how they suck and their stuff being overpriced, when the same products are being sold on the 'preferred' sites for 25+% higher price, and yet, people support the high price on the other sites without bitching.

I agree that their current airsoft shit is nothing but crap clearsoft, but it's also appropriately priced. I really don't understand what people's beef is with them, really. So they don't have the high end stuff that the others have. So what? If a store caters to a different target market than me, it doesn't mean they suck. It just means that they don't carry what I want, and I'll go shop elsewhere.

Easy. 007 pays for licensing to import, hence they have much higher operating costs. Buyairsoft imported this stuff without licenses, hence they had much higher markups. Don't automatically assume higher price = higher markup. Ever wonder why buyairsoft only stocks clear shit now??? Because they were importing without a license and the CBSA got wise.

Crunchmeister November 26th, 2007 11:31

Well, that certainly explains their lower prices. But as long as the price is right and they have the products I want, that's where I'll shop. Whatever reason they can't get the stuff now, it's their problem, not mine. We'll just have to wait and see how it works out for them and if they do indeed start getting new non-clear stuff and more brands in mid-2008 as they said they would.

If not, then no biggie. There's always 007, A&A and the classified ads here. Between the classifieds and A&A, I've put out quite a bit of money in the last couple of weeks.

Lakonian November 26th, 2007 11:34

007 all the fuckin' way. Ken's the man. Saved me nearly 500$ on my PTW order.

Cassius November 26th, 2007 12:16

Ken and Mark indeed although I still prefer the classifieds. :D

Wrong. Retailers bringing in stuff illegally is bad for the entire hobby. Open your eyes and start looking at the big picture.

Scooby Steve November 26th, 2007 13:16

I'll rot before I'll buy from buyairsoft.ca. Too much of a guy-standing-by-an-open-trunk-going-pssst-wanna-buy-some-Airsoft vibe.

If they get their act together, import legally, and bring in shit that equals more than the worth of a turd, I'll consider buying something from them if it's something I want.

Having said that, between Juggelz, Mark, Ken, the ASC classifieds, and what I already own, I have no reason to buy anything from them.
