Please pardon the n00bish question...

...but regarding mag's, would those also get stopped at the border? Given how its obvious they cannot take bullets, I wouldn't think so, but just wanted to know.

And before someone says "go search n00b!" I cant it doesn't seem to want to work, and my computer is running so freakin' slow it would take all day to browse through the pages here. Just a simple yes or no would suffice.

Greylocks November 26th, 2007 06:23

That requires no searching since it's already answered in the FAQ section. Did you read it? It was designed for new members who Frequently Ask the same Questions.

The answer is; they SHOULD make it through. Real Life says it depends on how the Border Services Agent feels on that day.

If you want to be sure, buy from Canadian retailers. No guesswork involved.

STUBZY November 26th, 2007 18:09

this is prolly a even noobier statement, but im guessing you cant import airsofts into canada?

Not unless you have a Licence to import. You could try but the chances of it getting through are very slim to none. No woth the the chance of losing the money.
But if it was a clear plastic see through gun it has a much better chance and likely will be ok.

Only if they have dummy rounds in them, or the guy inspecting them feels a little dickish on that particular day.

Move to America until the border patrol softens up.

:( well i didnt know, but that kinda sucks how they check those things

Rukus November 27th, 2007 11:32

I wish we had a relaxed boarder so we could get airsoft easily. But such are dreams. I just got my AR mags, and some MP5 mags through no problems from Red Wolf. So unless your CBSA agent is a dick you should be ok.

The Acer November 27th, 2007 15:14

my buddy tried to dissameble the gun and send it as a bunch of parts in a box, but customs still reconize the trigger guard and stuff like that so you cant do that either, so either way your screwed, just a heads up

STUBZY November 27th, 2007 17:27

that's kinda lame, why do they not let you import em but they let you buy em from canadian retailers?

Same reason book is $20 in America, and $40 in Canada. Well, not really, but it sure feels the same.

Greylocks November 27th, 2007 17:44

Dont try to make sense of the laws in a different country, same as we wont try to make sense of stores in America where you can buy guns, ammo, and booze in the same place... (Seen those in person).

snipe_your_ass November 27th, 2007 18:11

i was wonder ing if you had a family member in the states and they drove a airsoft gun up here would that work?

Styrak November 27th, 2007 20:01

You mean that in this last month you have not read the FAQ section at all? Maybe you should.

Pennsylvania. That's fairly north. And then the cultural differences between our two countries surrounding guns make up the rest.

We can get what we want IF we dont try to break the laws or fool around with the Border people.

STUBZY November 28th, 2007 09:39

Wow Pennslyvania.....that's like omish people. I was expecting like Alabama or Georgia. hmm... whatever

Greylocks November 28th, 2007 14:36

The word is Amish, a lot of folks are from German/Dutch descent, and the gun laws there are very liberal...

Why apologize? Just read up on your country and it's history, this is stuff you should know about better than a Canadian, I hope.

STUBZY November 29th, 2007 22:40

i was apologizing for misspelling amish....=P
