ok cant decide on a gun. i need opinions

ok im a smaller guy so an ak might be to large and clumsy for me. i want something not to big not to small and durable. i am more sold on a version 3 gearbox.

im not to picky on the looks because ide rather it bloody worked then look cool

any suggestions?

The Saint January 16th, 2008 20:32

G36C or AK Spez would be my suggestions.

HELLFIRE989 January 16th, 2008 20:33

The TM G36 is a nice gun or a MP5 variant would be good for a smaller person.

Chewiem January 16th, 2008 20:34

It is a great gun one of the guys on my team has been running one for a few years now and not one problem. The only thing I don't like it the limited space in the battery compartment. You are pretty much stuck to using a small battery. On another note I recently just bought the sanyo 9.6 1500 mah battery for my G36c and it is great. You will need to modify the front battery compartment to make it fit but it looks a hell of a lot better than the large foregrips that are available.

matt491 January 16th, 2008 20:45

Get a UMP. I would only trade my UMP for one thing in the entire world. I'd only trade my UMP to see CDN_stalker. Just to catch a glimpse of him! Where the hell is that guy?

TokyoSeven January 16th, 2008 20:53

You could always try out a TM P90, its not for everyone. Some say it doesnt do that great outdoors and its more of an in door gun, I guess its all opinion though.

Chewiem January 16th, 2008 21:06

what make is the UMP? im inturested

muahahahahaha I've seen him >.> not while he's playing though... everybody knows he phases to another plain of existence while playing.

I managed to find a Double Eagle UMP and I'm currently working on upgrading her. Best UMP to get stock out of the box is the G&G. Hit up mark at A&A and see if he can get it.

CDN_stalker phases to another plain of existence and shoots through time to pick people off silently!

I would reccomend the Classic Army M15A4 carbine. Its compact, easy to upgrade, many accessories available and i believe it is a ver 3 gearbox

Oh. Opps, ok its a ver 2 mecbox.

ThunderCactus January 16th, 2008 23:15

G&G UMG is a nice weapon, real easy to get awesome performance out of that mechbox!
Don't worry about barrel length, it's not all that important.

Greylocks January 17th, 2008 02:22

I am 5'6", the AK is fine for me...

kalnaren January 17th, 2008 09:39

If the AK is fine for small african children it should be fine for you too.

ahaahahahah.

id go with the ump or p90 (it just about has a friggen m16 length barrel, how can that not be good for out doors?) or a g36c. out of all them id would definatly say the g36c. because, it is awesomly built, and you can get the large foregrip for a large battery... and its short. OR if you can get your hands on it, an l85a2 or afv if you were so inclined.

The P90 length barrel is the same as a G36C... about half of an M16 barrel.

+1, I'm bout 5'7-9" some where between there, 'bout 120-130 pounds, my AK s fine for me too.

Chrios January 17th, 2008 15:17

Go to a game and ask to try out other people's gear for a minute or two. Most players are cool with that, and it's the fastest way to find out if something is for you (or perhaps more importantly, not for you).

It'll probably be the first of many AEGs anyways, so it's just a question of what you'll want first ;)

mike909 January 17th, 2008 15:35

I think an M4A1 can fit all

LUTNIT January 17th, 2008 15:35

The only guns that require you to be kinda large is a solid stock armalite, M14, G3, PSG-1, etc. Full sized rifles. Anything smaller than a complete full sized rifle is fine for smaller people. An MP5 only makes a good main weapon for outdoors if you're really small. I'm 6'3" 240lbs and its a pistol for me, a small gun for even medium sized people. Best advice that can be given is what Greylocks always says, go to a game, handle other peoples guns, and buy what you want, you wont be satisfied otherwise.

Oh dear god I just agreed with Greylocks! *jumps out second story window*

Chewiem January 17th, 2008 19:37

UMP! UMP! FOR GOD SAKE GET THE UMP!!

Chrios January 17th, 2008 20:01

They're all good choices and a blast to play around with, so it'll prettymuch come down to whatever looks cooler anyways :D

old hat January 17th, 2008 20:17

check out www.bansheepaintball.com before you shop anywhere else.
Their airsoft selection is all steel,TM compatible and priced the lowest in the country.
I recomend either the kraken or the kirenex rifles, although if you are small the mp5 might be a good choice.

Chewiem January 17th, 2008 20:27

were can i find the UMP does Ken carry em?

Huge January 17th, 2008 20:27

There's a good reason why they're cheap. One of my friends bought from there and it's ok but you get what you paid for. Not a lot of choices too

Neither A&A or 007 have them in stock at the moment. You'll probably have to order one.

ThunderCactus January 17th, 2008 20:41

I'm 5'6 130lbs and I use a G&P 249 lol
Whatever works best for you. FYI you'll want a balanced gun if your not very strong (as in not all front or back weight). Just between a G&P and CA 249, the CA is only 1kg lighter but I can hold it much longer because the weight is balanced between both my arms.
