JG MP5 Navy RAS

The new baby of mine..

Full metal
Reinforced gearbox ( I think V2? )
Aimpoint RDS
Cheap 3 AAA LED light, with a scope mount. ( Looks pretty alright. )

I had to take the grip with hockey tape for some small gripping, and that the paint seems to be coming off there alot..

My old aimpoint looks the shiiiiit. Very hot.

I should post pics of the ptw with the eotech... but, I'm sure everyone's seen what my gun looks like... so.. meh.

ProbeJax April 9th, 2008 14:52

I made the grips. I used rolled up masking tape placed it in where my fingers would hold, and then used hockey tape to wrap around for comfort.

Wilson May 8th, 2008 17:17

Looks sharp.

I'm not sure. It's a re-enforced gearbox of JG. Shoots around 370-400fps from what I heard.

Mr. G36! May 8th, 2008 22:22

Why does JG appear to prefer Orange for the Fire Selector icons as opposed to the traditional Red? I noticed this on the JG G36C, and figured maybe it was just that gun, but they all seem to have Orange icons...

My friends JG MP5 has red selector icons.

Well mine is actually fire red, so when I tune up the brightness on my Canon, that's what happens and it looks Orangy in picture..

super_six_four May 8th, 2008 23:04

that looks good, i havnt really seen much in the way of customization with MP5's

Brit ter May 10th, 2008 07:59

Don,t like the taped pistol grip ( it,s not a hockey stick) other than that its good , don,t paint this one!

DC_ACU May 10th, 2008 08:34

that grip and flashlight mount thing is ghhheeettttooooo
but the gun is nice.

Lakonian May 10th, 2008 09:18

I'd say fuck the verty you have now, and get a TD stubby, and possibly a side mounted BH Gladius (sp?) torch.

But if I have no battery holder (vert) where will my battery be placed? LOL
It will not fit anywhere..

Mr. G36! May 10th, 2008 11:45

Can you remove the RIS and replace it with an actual Hand Guard?

I'm not sure, I believe you can.

Mr. G36! May 10th, 2008 12:02

If so, you could get one of those massive XL Hand Guards that carry large batteries. It looks like the only use you're getting out of that RIS is to mount the grip that carries your battery, and the light, but you can get mounts for that anyway...though it does look like the RIS is what actually secures the scope mount to the gun. Interesting...

You are right, but I like the RIS more. I was thinking of getting those Batter boxes the one with laser and light?

What do you think?

Crunchmeister May 10th, 2008 12:13

Nice gun. Came close to getting that one myself, but got the standard MP5-J instead for significantly cheaper, so that was good enough for me.

The logos are sort of orange-ish on my JG MP5 as well.

AngelusNex May 10th, 2008 12:17

My JG 416 has dark red icons on it.

You can always engrave them and then paint over them, that way, you know they are red, and they won't come off. :)

Like an AN-PEQ? Might look strange on an MP5, but you never know. I'd say if you had it on the side and replace that grip with something a little...prettier, it might look good.

Yes, AN-PEQ is the name I was looking for.
I was going to say it may look weird that's my only choice to have the RIS.
Just never seen anyone have theirs on their MP5.

Mr. G36! May 10th, 2008 14:48

I say go for it solely because it'll make yours unique.

Shirley May 27th, 2008 13:54

Well I decided not to purchase the AN-PEQ battery box since it would be huge on the MP5 rail so I decided to purchase some sexy ass rail covers!!
Also I tied the battery under the rail. Not bad. :D

Get an Mp5 drum magazine. :D

Dusti69 May 27th, 2008 15:02

like the dual drum ones i keep posting pics of?
thatd be too big for an mp5k. i wanna get an mp5k to use as a pistol/side arm

Disco_Dante May 27th, 2008 16:32

yes they have mp5k highcaps. But if you use highcaps in your primary you don't really need a sidearm. Unless of course your primary fails.

I'm looking into getting a mp5k when i get verified on the third.
