Holy shit eHobby are fast!

Wow. I've always liked dealing with eHobby Asia, and they've always been fast to get me my stuff. But this time, I think it's broken a record.

I placed an order on Monday, the 21st for a tightbore and a couple of Hi-capa mags and a tightbore barrel. On Tuesday, the 22nd, I got the tracking number once it had been shipped.

I just checked Canada Post tracking, and it was just released from Customs in Missisauga at 16:48 this evening. Usually, Mississauga is an overnight thing to Kingston. So I could have my stuff by tomorrow evening. The 24th. How the hell does something get from China to hear that fast?

Disco_Dante July 24th, 2008 00:02

They've obviously invented teleportation just in time to help them win at the olympics.

Shirley July 24th, 2008 00:33

LOL.

They probably just sneaked that tightbore in with the other products there were already shipping, so it didn't have to take another plane for just a small shipment.

Lucky guy. :p

Dao July 24th, 2008 00:57

Hey Crunch are the HFC M11 mags in that package? Looking forward to see if the mag fits the TF11 :D

Desmodus July 24th, 2008 01:00

Lucky you... when I ordered from E-hobby it took two weeks for my PASGT to get here.

Turd July 24th, 2008 01:08

they are ok to deal with, you just get a fisting on shipping...one of my friends vests CAME broken in ways that shipping could not inflict..."rigorous quality control" my ass

tycho July 24th, 2008 02:03

I've had mixed dealings, so far. The first batch of stuff I ordered went great; bdu, vest, and hood.

But I ordered a cheap hicap from them, and it turned out he didn't actually have the product. So I had to wait for him to get it from his supplier (about 7 days); then I got an email saying it had been shipped, but had no tracking number. I got busy and never got around to emailing him for the #, but it's been 10 days now - I'm pretty much just going on faith at this point.

Now that I'm thinking of it I'm going to email him to get the tracking # to see where the thing is :/

Skladfin July 24th, 2008 02:12

I ordered many times from them 95% of the orders went awesome

though two of my orders still have not arrived after 3 weeks

Im in contact with them and ill see what they do about it

TokyoSeven July 24th, 2008 05:57

I have never recieved a tracking number from them on any order, regardless the amount of shipping I paid. The last time I ordered from them, they didnt ship my order out for 8 business days after the payment was made. After a few emails to them in regards to why my parcel was shipped with the slowest and cheapest method possible, when the amount I paid in shipping was easily enough if not more than enough for fedex. I never recieved a response to any of my inquiries. I have since stopped dealing with them and stopped recommending them. I grew wary of their poor communitcation and bad shipping practices. There are many who have had no issues with this company. I have had nothing but issues with them.

McKay July 24th, 2008 06:04

I ordered a five pack of mags and a new bat for my AK, took em about two weeks to get here but they did. Never got a tracking number though and that does put me off a bit.

Yeah, the mag is in that package. I'm anxious to try it out to see if it works or not.

Drake July 24th, 2008 08:16

I've always had good service from them. Ordered from them 7 or 8 times. They're my favorite second only to RedWolf.

Evike on the other hand... don't get me started about them :P

Crunchmeister July 24th, 2008 08:26

I've probably ordered from eHobby about about 7 or 8 times as well. Sometimes I get a tracking number, sometimes I don't. Usually my order arrived within 2 weeks, but there's usually a 3-4 day delay from the time I order till it gets processed and shipped. But never had any issue with them to date.

I just reviewed my order with them and am a bit disappointed in myself though. I thought I had ordered 2 spare TM mags for my WE Hi-Capa, and I realized what I ordered was actually WE mags. Dammit. Must read product descriptions more closely before I buy. I could have gotten TM mags for about $5 each than the WE mags.... Oh well. Next time...

Muffin July 24th, 2008 09:31

I've ordered through eHobby many times and so far so good. That is some speedy shipping though there Crunch. I wouldn't expect that from them. I've yet to receive a tracking number for any of my purcahses but they always seem to get here.
When your looking at an item and check the location they usually say 'Professional Supplier, United States' or 'Professional Supplier, Hong Kong'.
I think the majority is from the south but my last few buys were from Hong Kong and I too noticed it getting here faster then from the U.S.
....lazy Americans perhaps?

Crunchmeister July 24th, 2008 09:39

Well, according to tracking, it was processed by the postal facility in Mississauga this morning, so I won't be receiving my package till tomorrow at least. But still... That's really impressive. Here's the tracking info.

techobo July 24th, 2008 09:42

I always find that stuff from HK comes faster than from the States. I am not sure why. But I am sure not complaining.

Muffin July 24th, 2008 10:52

True, I just placed an order with Redwolf and their time period is 2-7 business days.

Crunchmeister July 24th, 2008 10:54

I've had good luck with pretty much all the Asian suppliers, actually. Often, stuff gets here faster than stuff that was mailed on the same day in Canada, particularly from Redwolf.

Gigaknight August 12th, 2008 00:52

Grr, I placed an order with ehobby 10 days ago and I have heard nothing from them indicating that they shipped; I`m thinking of opening a claim in a few days if they don`t answer me...

Any advice?

Send em a message. They're pretty good with responding and customer service.

You should check it out with them cause i ordered some stuff from redwolf Wednesday, ship thursday and today it was saying: MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed at postal facility

Gigaknight August 12th, 2008 01:31

Err, forgot to mention that it's been a few days since I bought the stuff and I sent messages...
No confirmation, no tracking number... wtf?

jtjcheng August 12th, 2008 01:54

They are late in their communication always, just like Ebaybanned.

Many times I have to remind them of my order before they actually ship out my order.

I guess that it is the way they work, even though I do not really appreciate it. However, I have always received my order and they have never missed my package instructions either. Once I notify them, the packages usually arrive relatively fast.

Styrak August 12th, 2008 01:54

Sometimes my orders have taken a week or a bit more to ship. Sometimes they suck at that.

warbird August 12th, 2008 14:47

Mine just came in today. 6 business days.

Crunchmeister August 12th, 2008 14:49

Just placed another order with them this morning. We'll see how long it takes to get to me.

dpvu August 12th, 2008 14:57

I got my CIRAS from Huang shipped to me from China in 4 days. It's odd that something can be shipped from China and get to me faster than something shipped from Quebec.

808 August 12th, 2008 14:59

My shipments are always opened by the CBSA. Takes me 2-4 weeks to get things in.

You guys are lucky.

;)

Got caught once or what?

Fox August 12th, 2008 15:08

:) I placed an order on the 2nd and received mine yesterday.
They're not bad, it's just they charge a lot for shipping. Instead of some sort of combined reduced shipping charge, they charge you shipping for every item... so technically, making one order or 7 makes no difference;

Crunchmeister August 12th, 2008 15:23

They combined shipping for my items today. They charged me the shipping cost of the largest item (MP5 cocking tube support - $10) and threw in the other items at no extra shipping charge.

Now, I've had them do this before, and other times, I've been charged the separate amounts for each item as well.

No, not really.

:D

*sigh*

panda86 August 12th, 2008 16:38

One tip with Ehobby. If you're buying multiple items, wait until they send you the invoice, then ASK for a discount on combined shipping.

If you don't ask, they usually won't do it for you. Usually they will give you about 10-15% off the shipping costs. Better than nothing!
