realsword ak47

Hi,
I have been looking for a RS ak47, and notice that I wasn't the only person looking for this item. so if we can get enough requests for this item, then maybe one of the merchandiser's might think its profitable enough to bring them in. Gotta try something, it's my true love....LOL..

paulwes83 July 28th, 2008 23:34

I'm down as long as it doesn't cost over a G.

surebet July 28th, 2008 23:38

Larf, you people are in for a real surprise...

Best bet, wait a month or so, the retailers are coming back from their vacations, but before that forget about it.

AngelusNex July 28th, 2008 23:40

They are pretty, I've played around with Crunchmeister's a couple of times and it is beautiful. solid, heavy and the bayonet on the full stock one (at least the aluminum replacement for it) is fricken shweat.

crocket74 July 28th, 2008 23:45

I've seen a couple that sold for 700 and 800 on this site.

pawscal July 28th, 2008 23:47

Yeah I want one too, bad :(

Crunchmeister July 28th, 2008 23:51

Yeah, I've seen a couple of used ones selling in that range here recently. I got mine back in February, having placed the order in late December. Including shipping, I paid $890 for mine. If I remember correctly, the actual shipping charge was around $40, so essentially the gun itself was $850 new.

And yes, I highly recommend them. Very solid guns. Short of taking a swim with it or submerging it in mud, this gun will take all the abuse a real AK would. You can't do that with any other airsoft gun, even a PTW.

Lawdog July 29th, 2008 07:39

I would definately be in for one.

Ld

Nik12 July 29th, 2008 10:11

Depending on where your merchandiser orders these from, I kinda want to sneak a Tanaka SAA in to the order. Pweeese?

dragwindsor July 29th, 2008 17:33

When I get the capital, I'll make a small order of RS's. About 5 units or so.

Shijima July 29th, 2008 18:48

Oh my lord, that is a hot lookin ak, I... I think Im in love.

dragwindsor July 31st, 2008 17:31

If you think you're in love from pics, wait till you actually hold and shoot one.

The only thing I would recommend to change on it is either the main spring, hopup rubber, or both. The stock spring makes it shoot in the 290-310 fps range. The hopup rubber is hard and really better in a high velocity gun - 375+ fps. It doesn't take much hop adjustment to sent the BBs skyward after 50 feel with even a small amount of hop. I just barely nudge mine on to get it to work right. And ideally, I think even with a stiff spring, a new hopup rubber wouldn't be a bad idea either.

dragwindsor July 31st, 2008 17:39

How many people are interested? .

PM me....

dragwindsor August 13th, 2008 23:55

I just got one in for a customer.

It's pretty nice I must say. Good balance. The steel's nice n' cold. Good quality.

I have to get one of my own now, for sure.

Crunchmeister August 13th, 2008 23:59

You got to experience the "gun smell" of a fresh Real Sword too...

AngelusNex August 14th, 2008 00:00

IMO, it's nicer than a PTW. I've fired crunches and I must say it is really nice, never got to game it though as I had ammo problems, NEVER BUY MADBULL IPSC GRADE .25 BBS FOR A DOUBLE STACK MAG.

pawscal August 14th, 2008 00:02

Cant wait to get drag!

Yeah. I loaded all those mags up with about 50 rounds last weekend and they fired off without a problem. It really must have been those BBs that jammed up on you, same way KSC BBs jam up the mags on my KSC Glock (go figure, both KSC). I wish you would have had the change to use it in the field and give it a bit of a workout.

You'll love it, pawscal. It's a fucking awesome gun and rock solid too. This is as close to a real AK as anyone is likely to ever hold short of the real thing.

pawscal August 14th, 2008 00:09

Im lost here, the madbull .25 misfeeded in the RS? There not double stack mags?

Crunchmeister August 14th, 2008 00:14

We played a Milsim game in Petawawa a couple of weeks ago, and Sepulcrum's 416 was too hot (about 415). So he used my SAW most of the day. After a few hours of lugging that behemoth around, he wanted something lighter. We went back to the van to switch guns, and he loaded his Madbull BBs in my mags, went to try to adjust the hopup before going back in the field, but they totally jammed up the mags.

I don't know why, but the Madbull BBs jammed up in all my AK mags - the stock 150 round RS mag, and my 5 King Arms 110 round plastic mags. I've fired KSC, Metal Tech and Bastards out of that gun and never had any problem with any of them. Only the Madbulls ever caused a problem.

pawscal August 14th, 2008 00:16

hmmm I just bought 44000 rds of madbulls I hope I dont have problems!

AngelusNex August 14th, 2008 00:17

Actually my 416 was firing 445. I checked again actually using .2 bbs. >.> really need to downgrade.

Mix them with silicon oil, LOTS of silicon oil, before use. Once I oiled up crunches mags I was eventually, at least, able to empty them.

Crunchmeister August 14th, 2008 00:21

Well, I'm not sure if they'll give you problems or not. I just know I haven't had any issues with any of my mags (AK or otherwise). I keep them nicely oiled and they always feed reliably, some even right till the last BB. The Madbulls jammed up all 6 of my AK mags just as badly. And the same mags, with no work done on them, worked once again flawlessly once loaded up with Bastards.

Yeah, that's right. I forgot you had run it through the chrony the second time. Man, the fucker is HOT....

AngelusNex August 14th, 2008 00:24

The only mags my madbulls didn't jam were my m16 vn mags... but I oiled them all allot just before the game. My MAG mags jamed up allot too.... not fun running a SAW on like 20-30 rds per mag.

dragwindsor August 14th, 2008 00:25

My SAW never jams. I use only Bastard .25'z.

mopic August 14th, 2008 01:06

I am all over this. At first glance they would take about 3 weeks to get and would run around $750.00 +/- Not anywhere near a thousand, as first thought.
The build quality is outstanding. The wood is identical to my real SKS (Chu forest wood) About as close to the real thing as you can get. They are available, about 8 made it up earlier this year. I will order three (3) to start and take it from there. Please, any further interest, contact me at airsoft@rogers.com

dragwindsor August 14th, 2008 02:07

Mopic has the better price I see. $850 shipped from me.

Mine took under a week btw.......
