Love the hybrid black Sig Pro.....was contemplating of getting one...I heard they don't shoot well though...
Maybe if KSC do a system 7 on the Sig Pro line and metal kits are available I might pick one up... |

MrJon! Looking good man, love mine and seeing yours makes me know were few with unique gbb's, what slides are those exactly? Illusion wants to get me the new Shooters Design anniversary one. CHeers man. |
Renegade) I chose a Shooters Design silver SP2009 9mm Slide, and the Shooters Design SP2340 XM13 Hybrid slide. They aren't easy to install, and in fact I still have quite a bit of finishing work to do on them. However so, they are well worth every penny I spent

Sikness personified x 2...SIG IT UP BRO...insanity..truly pieaces of art.
kudos |
hey mr. jon, would it trouble you too much to post up how you went about installing these and what areas you needed to modify? maybe some pictures of the modified areas. i just picked up a new Sig pro myself and was thinking about getting an sd slide for mine. jugglez has one in for the 2340 and i was thinking of nabbing it.
|
It's a hard one to explain. you'll see where you have to modify it because you can feel where the slide grinds against the rails that hold it on. You'll feel resistance in specific areas and a nice needle file can take care of that however as i've mentioned SD slides in general are beautifully finished but fit like crap. I haven't touched these slides in months, I just have them fitted enough where it can cycle the slide by hand but it's still extremely tight. It's a unique gun, and with only one manufacturer making slides I still think it was worth the time and efforts required for a proper fit

Global Operation pure sex. Thank you for this!
|
omg someone else that knows global ops. yess :)
|
Awesome gun and pron Mr Jon, congrats :)
|
I have to say those are sexy!
But err +$300 metal slides and they don't fit properly... errr wtf?... |
I know this thread was made like two years ago but I'd like to build the silver sp2009 it looks so cool. Did you have to use a high flow valve to get it to cycle? I was thinking about using my glock 19 strengthened recoil spring if it fits but I heard that the hammer spring is too weak for a metal slide let along an enhanced recoil spring.
|
The high flow valve certainly helps it cycle better. If you could modify an existing recoil spring to fit that would definitely help because the slide return is a tad sluggish. Too bad you can't install a better hammer spring in it. It's a slow performer over all of a gun, but it sure does look pretty!
