im pretty sure all ak's have v3's the question then is it plasto-crap-tastic or metal?, and then if the answer is metal then the question becomes whats the quality of it?

ehobby and ebaybanned are two great sites for parts. evike is ok to me but some people would say otherwise

Yes, the kraken is a version 3 mechbox with 6mm bushings.

If you're going to take the time to actually fix the gun out of the box, instead of watch it die slowly: www.mechbox.com has damned near everything you need to know about getting into mechboxs. With video. It's not a perfect website, but it's a good start.

byblos August 19th, 2008 20:57

thank you, i appreciate it

byblos August 19th, 2008 21:31

fill in your profile with location etc. if you run into any problems, you can contact a local gun doc in your area

byblos August 19th, 2008 22:45

i actually spoke with him today, also met him at the local airsoft games.

pusangani August 19th, 2008 22:47

sounds good man hope it goes well for you, with a little effort those krakens can be a good upgrade platform.

Dusti69 August 20th, 2008 02:12

dont forget a new piston head

:banghead: i hope its included in this?

Skladfin August 20th, 2008 15:59

why are you getting a bore up kit are you planning on 650mm inner barrel length +?

808 August 20th, 2008 16:05

Maybe in the future, you should discuss your upgrade plans with a gun doc, and make a shopping list together.

Just a suggestion. :D

Do not get that... You'll produce a larger volume of air than you want to.

for a kraken the easiest thing to do (in terms of purchasing) is to purchase this:

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=694

or to go like this:

Or, You could go for this:

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1104

It comes with; Piston, Piston head, airseal nozzle, cylinder head and cylinder.

IMO the modify kit is well worth it.

Dusti69 August 20th, 2008 17:05

i put a 6 dollar G&P piston head in mine and it works quite well

byblos August 20th, 2008 18:36

just curious, the bore-up will not work with the stock barrel on the kraken???

byblos August 20th, 2008 21:32

1 ea. Modify Cylinder Set - AK47 Series $75.00...

i am sorry for wasting your time.. i linked the wrong set

cloves August 28th, 2008 12:48
