Nice! that's the WE right? Can it accept TM mags?

bean October 18th, 2008 13:07

its a socom gear

The Saint October 18th, 2008 13:12

It's a WE. You can see WE's logo on the trigger guard. SOCOM Gear is the distributor.

WE1911 can't use TM1911 mags.

I wonder if the tolerances are better than earlier WE1911 models.

R1Style October 18th, 2008 13:31

looks awesome. You have quite the collection going on.

Shirley October 18th, 2008 13:49

Awesome, wished the magazines were compatible with TM.

The grips are so nice.

bodydropper October 18th, 2008 17:39

damn! thats sexy! good pics.

bean October 18th, 2008 17:48

I thought socom gear cnc'd all there parts. I could be completely off I just remember reading something like that on airsoft news.

bleaches October 18th, 2008 17:56

so are the grip pieces genuine grip plates used on real wilson combats or licensed remakes? because couple of my friends in taiwan are beggining to doubt the validity that they are real wilson grips because of how much they cost

Wilson October 18th, 2008 20:27

I love that sidearm!

RacingManiac October 18th, 2008 22:14

From the info I've heard yes they are the real grips. Or damn good copies.

The barrel bushing and spring plug are prone to breaking, if the recoil spring guide isn't cut down. It hits the bottom of the spring guide. So same problem as other WE's. But replacement parts are easy to come by using real steel, or talk to socom gear. Otherwise the thing is a beast. Shoots hard, and fast. Great pistol. One of my top favorites!

Lakonian October 18th, 2008 22:19

Terrible finish. :p

Great performance from what I've heard.

FYI, SOCOM gear is correcting the bushing issue, and is releasing a CNC'd aluminum slide......

I'm interested in knowing what features make a pistol 'CQB.' Seems redundant to me. However, very nice pistol, one of my faves for sure.

RacingManiac October 18th, 2008 23:30

I think the idea is that the pistol is usually the primary in CQB situation when you are carrying a full size rifle normally.....

JoeFriday October 19th, 2008 13:15

I always figured it was because of the rail... Who knows. Because I would use an M4A1 variant or MP5 in a CQB. :P

808 October 20th, 2008 09:38

I think there is two criteria, but I'm not a R/S fanatic...

1. The slide needs serrations near the front.
2. The company needs a new marketing 'niche'.

I'm sure the rail has nothing to do with it, because the R/S Wilson Combat CQB Elite comes in two flavours - w/rail and w/o.

Its just Wilson's name for it, as a reliable backup in CQB
Nothing really past that
