It should, but you may have some fitment issues because you're putting it in a chinese clone...

But why :(? Putting that in a JG is like getting an diamond gold-plated... only to plate it again in poo...

L.S.J.S December 27th, 2008 21:42

Well Im just trying to work with what I'v got. It took me like a year to find this gun I'v been Trying to get into airsoft for a while. I tried to order guns from a few places and always got fucked over! Buyairsoft.ca was the only place I could find in canada to get a half decent gun. I bought the best one they had in stock. That was before I joined this community. I know that there are places to get a lot better guns. But untill someone verifies my age nobody will sell me shit!!!and Im not having any luck with that. Nobody seems to have the time.. to verify me Its very frustrating....

L473ncy December 27th, 2008 21:49

Hey man, one of the things you have to understand is that the guys who do AV are volunteers and have jobs and lives too, they do this purely on a help the community basis. That being said how long have you been waiting? I had a good experience with the Verifier who did me, only took about 2-3 weeks to find a time that worked for both of us and then another week for the AV to go through with the admins.

L.S.J.S December 27th, 2008 22:06

I'v only been waiting a month.I wasn't trying to be cynical toward the av's Shit I barley have the time myself I work 6 days a week 12-14 hours a day I was just stating the reason why I would dip a diamond in shit and convince myself its an airsoft gun. And at the moment thats what I'm forced to do...........

Styrak December 27th, 2008 22:16

So.....the next question is, why do you want a Systema M120 Complete Mechbox?

Crunchmeister December 27th, 2008 22:23

There's nothing wrong with the internals of the JG, so why put in the cadillac gearbox? Seriously, JG have some great internals compared to most other Chinese guns. At most, it would require less than $50 in parts and a little TLC to make it as reliable as any high end gun.

L.S.J.S December 27th, 2008 22:59

well the other day something in my Mechbox locked up Im going to have to open it up and since its going to be a real bitch to tear down the gun. to get to the Mechbox I figuerd id just through this systema in there and cut down the probability of have to take this thing upart again any time soon Plus I want to put an 11.1 lipo in there and I dont think this box can take that kind of beating for long.........

Amos December 27th, 2008 23:21

Well, those are all good reasons to put the box in there... Does Systema make a M110? IIRC M120's are pretty high FPS, and it's always best for new players to start with 340ish FPS. You wont be that out-gunned, and you'll learn how to move and work for your kills... along with the fact that new players generally have pretty poor trigger control.

So let me get this straight:

You'd rather spend $200+ than remove a few screws and take a look? Even if you just take it to a gundoc it's only going to be a few bucks compared to that.

Also, JG guns have decent internals stock.

I would just like to add that those systema drop in gear boxes usually require to be opened to me reshimmed sometimes. Depending on how long they have been sitting on a shelf they may require to regreased as well.

Lets take a quick second to review your options:

1) Open your current to prefer repairs and preventative maintenance.
At a ball park cost of around 50ish dollars depending on the severity of whats wrong currently.

2) Buy the Systema drop in box you wish and drop the 200 dollars on an highly unneccesary upgrade that may require just as much as option one.

3)Instead of buying the systema drop in you could buy a JG drop in. However, just like the systema drop in you may require to open it to reshim and either regrease or degrease the mechbox. Estimated ballpark cost of this option would be around 100 dollars.

L.S.J.S December 28th, 2008 10:25

k where do I find a gun doc near me? I would like to just do this myself thats the only way Ill learn. Im quite inclined mechanically. I'v just never opend a mechbox. k if I get this thing tore down to the mechbox would anyone want to help guide me through the next step.

Sorry man. I was just assuming that either you were waiting for like a week and just exaggerating how long you had to wait or actually did wait that long without replies from any AV rep. Anyways that's the end of that so just get it done ASAP is all I can tell you and we'll leave it at that.

n\p I should have worded it different. Thanks for the info Ill try to get in touch with one of these guys.

Crunchmeister December 28th, 2008 13:15

If you're mechanically inclined, then you should have no problem doing this yourself. Go to www.mechbox.com. They have videos of the disassembly of an M4 and mechbox. Your Dragon is just an M4 with extra cosmetic furniture on it.

Seriously, if you plan on getting into airsoft, you're going to have to learn to do this anyway. The mechbox does require occasional maintenance in terms of cleaning and lubrication anyway. Might as well learn how to do it yourself.

L.S.J.S December 28th, 2008 15:34

ya I just got back from shopping. I picked up all the tools needed Im going to give it a try I also found the right info at mechbox.com thanks for the tip
