Battery help.

just ordered the new aftermath kraken and should be here sometime soon once i send my broken one back.. i was looking to buy a battery from pyramid air (so they can ship with my gun) will this fit the connector on the stock aftermath kraken?
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/ac...essory_id=1039

or how about this? http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/ac...cessory_id=925

thank you very much you guys rock!

KNIVEZS January 5th, 2009 18:29

the kraken is wired with small connectors.

ndballazzzz313 January 5th, 2009 18:44

so which will work or are their any? which types of connectors are their large mini, small?

blaklite January 5th, 2009 18:47

it says it in the first line of the descrption:

- 8.4v Nimh 1200mah Airsoft Battery with mini Tamiya (Marui) connector

Like KNIVEZS said, the kraken is wired w/ mini tamiya ends, so yes it should work.

Sanyo and Intellect are good brands. intellects can have a dud issue. Also if you don't have a smart charger i'd get a Ni-Cd battery since that way if your using a wall charger, you can give it a proper charge when empty. You should be able to find these types of batts in the 2100mah range.

ndballazzzz313 January 5th, 2009 20:12

How long?

how long will this charger take to charge a 1200 mah NiCad battery?
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/ac...essory_id=1942
how about a 1200 NiMH battery?

how about a 1200 NiMH battery?

The battery type makes no difference in charge time. They will both take the same amount of time. And how long depends on the output mah of your chrager. If the output is 250mah an hour, it will take 4 hours and 48minutes to charge.

ndballazzzz313, you do not need multiple threads to talk about batteries.

ndballazzzz313 January 5th, 2009 20:30

what is that charger that i listed charging rate?

TokyoSeven January 5th, 2009 20:32

You could try contacting Pyramidair and asking them, although someone here may have the same charger as well and maybe able to tell you.

zone 69 January 5th, 2009 20:37

The charger in your link has two setting's 0.9A and 1.8A charge your batt's at the lower setting of 0.9A.

You mite what to get a large 8.4v 2000/2400mha batt for your aftermath kraken.

ndballazzzz313 January 5th, 2009 20:38

how long will it take to fully charge the battery? on the lower setting?

kalnaren January 5th, 2009 20:44

Ok, I know this is the newbie area and we're not suppose to flame, but holy shit, more than half the information you've asked is in the FAQ or can be found with even a slight bit of research on your own. This section is here to help point new players in the right direction, or provide answer to common but less known questions -not to give people a step-by-step on how to wipe their ass.

Now, if you want to know some stuff about batteries, have a read of this website:
http://www.batteryuniversity.com/
And on charging:
http://www.batteryuniversity.com/partone-11.htm

It has TONS of info on just about every non-airsoft specific battey question one could have.

I think a 1200 mha batt would be around two and one hafe hour's at 0.9A.

You still should go for a 8.4v 2000/2400mha batt for your aftermath kraken.

Ndballazzzz313, Kalnaren is correct. The Newbie Tank exists to provide a reasonable amount of guidance, not to answer everything single little question. We're here to hold your hand a little, not to raise you between the age of 1 and 18.

There are numerous guides on this forum and others on the internet. I'd highly advise you spend more time reading them before asking your questions, ndballazzzz313.
