rifle suggestions

do you guys know of a good starter rifle for around $150 that would be modifiable?

Crunchmeister April 14th, 2009 20:50

Dude. You just asked this in your other thread and it was answered to you at least 3 times. That ALL you're going to get for that budget no matter how often you ask.

chappyk April 14th, 2009 20:54

it was a mistake sorry

NoGear April 14th, 2009 21:18

though i didn't read your thread my suggestions is your outfit bdu's,pouches and camo. if you want a gun first. Its a good choice to get your secondary as with that much money the pistols range can top a aeg at that price. on a side note don't be cheap on the eye protetion, paying 20$ on a good set of gogles is a good investment seeing as eye surgery costs thousands. you only get one pair of eyes treat them like ur family jewls and you'll be fine

chappyk April 14th, 2009 21:24

thanks NOGEAR, for my eye protection I will just use my CF issued ones, and I am working on my multicam uniform. Thats why i was hoping to get a good rifle cheap for this summer and then get something better later....besides there are no guys around me to play against as far as i can see.

NoGear April 14th, 2009 21:33

i still havent got my equipmet yet but 350$ is a good start to a rifle but 150$ for a secondary can shoot just as far and its easyer to practise manuvering. I wish i bought my secondary first seeing as i need one now XD. Though some of these guys may seem to be mad at you its only tough love so don't be to discouraged.

its good to start getting ur equipment ready before you hit 18. Your off to a good start now so keep it up.

cheers!

Forever_kaos April 14th, 2009 21:44

Be aware that if you play at a Paintball area they require you to wear Paintball goggles only, no exceptions.

chappyk April 14th, 2009 22:11

Hey NOGEAR

"its good to start getting ur equipment ready before you hit 18"

LOL, I'm 36 so I guess I'd better get going.....I am out of the CF and miss it so this is the next best thing.

NoGear April 15th, 2009 00:10

o my bad!!! i guess i should take my own advice eh! XD. I bet someone asked you to get AV'D but thats to get access to top of the line guns but yea i bet its like walking into a candy shop you don't know what to buy.

cheers!

chappyk April 15th, 2009 05:58

this is what would make an awesome modded AK-47. It's beautiful.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw April 15th, 2009 06:10

Uhhhhhhhh....thats not an AK47. Thats an AR/M4 style gun.

G36Maniac April 15th, 2009 16:21

How can you be in the CF and not see the difference between a M4 and an AK47

I call BS on the CF part as in the CF at some point in time he would have had very basic training on an AK... which would include what they look like.

you know, that looks just like my m4 pmc....

yuhaoyang April 15th, 2009 21:28

What? 1337 gamers can tell AKs from M4s =p the pointless and usually incorrect arguement pitting the M4 and AK-47 against eachother has been ongoing since counterstrike came out.

How was the 416 they gave you for CF? *wink* *wink*

If only I had a penny for every time someone said AK47s used 7.62x51, or that an AK74 used 5.56x45

L473ncy April 15th, 2009 21:55

I thought AK 47's were chambered in 7.62x51 for a while (NATO round), that never actually made sense to me - till just now.... I just looked it up and they are chambered for 7.62 but 7.62x39.

As for AK74 I thought they were chambered in 5.56 for a while but I just found out that they're chambered in a weird proprietary round size (5.45x39).

As for the OP: Aftermath Kraken.

Seriously, if you're in the CF you get subsidized housing, subsidized living/clothing, food, weekend pay (for your Exercises), and your pay on top of that... I think you can spend the $300 to get an M4 from 007, PLUS IIRC they have Diemaco (Colt Canada) trades on them (the "regular G&G" line not the "Combat Machine" ones).

What??? Subsidized housing?
Also, 51mm would make the AK so brutal... (FAL)
But then again, the AK 101 and 108 are chambered in 5.56 NATO =p

Still, he should have more than $150 to spare.... I mean, I was a student working a part time job at a grocery store making $200 a week. And my first gun was a TM AUG.

oh no i agree with you completely just sayin he may not still have all those benefits that L473ncy mentioned

pusangani April 16th, 2009 00:57

*edit* i need to read more hehe

L473ncy April 16th, 2009 11:15

Oh.... ex-forces... I should have read that. Yeah I got too caught up in the "CF member" part...

Yes they do get subsidized housing/food/living/clothing etc. I was told of these benefits by a CF recruiter who had a booth setup at a career fair.

pusangani April 16th, 2009 14:01

lol funny how the OP has gone away now
