Laser For Pistol...Possible Scope?
 

Hi. So, to start of, I don't know what AEG of GBB means (I know, should be asking the the "Newbie Tank", is what I think its called), and I am not really here to ask, I will ask in the "Newbie Tank", this is just a heads up if I don't use proper airsoft grammar, so, sorry if I don't.

So, I have had a hard time finding laser pointers for my gun (Colt Double Eagle Series 90), and I want to know where I can get one.

Will any laster pointer fit this, because the ones I have found on the "net" are I think for fitting onto PPK type of guns (at least that is what I have seem them on). So, I know, possible stupid question.

Also, wouldn't that be neat if there was scopes for pistols...or is there...?
Lol, I know, you are probably thinking (that is a really dumb question), but I have seen clip-on ones that go on really cheap battery-powered guns, and they are non-working, just for show, but I was wondering if there were real ones on the internet...

So, sorry if any of these questions sound stupid, I am a total noob, and also, sorry if I am posting in the wrong area, (if I did, I greatly apologize).

Screw the laser.. spend the money on a good pistol. You can't use lasers in games anyways.

Not sure about ones made for your gun, but I like to make my own things if I can't buy them. Take it from me, it doesn't look as good, but it works. I have already tried to build a laser sight for one of my pistols, but the $8 gun broke eventually, and I can't seem to find a way to make if for my Deagle. Anyways, if you're into hands on stuff, try getting a laser pointer and hook it up to a switch, keep the button down, make a plexi-glass shell, and you'll be on your way. I'm probably just my breath though. (Or whatever, you know what I mean)

Ya, I'm eventually gonna' get another gun, I just started, so I thought I would get the second best I could buy (on the shelf, it was eather a $19.90, and $20.00, and $40.00 (mine), and a $72.00, and I didn't see much point in the most expesive, because like I said, I just started out, or there was a shotgun.).

But yeah, they arn't? That makes sense, because it would be like cheating anyway...

Do you mean one of those button switches that you press down? I guess any switch will work, all it needs to do is stop the circuit. Anyways, usually all laser pointers have the battery compartment inside the device, which is where you would need to get into. One wire needs to be connected to the spring, where the other is attached to the bare metal at the end, with the threads. The wire from the spring goes to the right side of the batteries, the batteries go to the switch, and the switch goes to the metal. Pretty simple. I guess.

No. The reason you can't use them in game is because lasers can blind you.

1) Lasers aren't allowed because they cause occular damage.

2) A good pistol is about $300. And any decent accessory is going to cost you more than what you paid for that gun. Hell.. even the frame mount to mount a scope on it is going to cost you more than that gun.

Lol, no, dude, see what I am saying: I don't know about the games, I have never played one, I am a noob...I said for personal use, you are using something else to aim, rather than using the cross-haires, which, honestly, I think is harder...And, no duh it can blind people...Sorry if I come off as a "prick" but I thought I already explained myself, I am not refering to a real game, I am refering to just shooting it in a backyard.

2) I'm sorry, but I am not going to buy a $300 gun, when this is my first real time having one in my hands for a long period of time...why would I get a $300 one, rather than getting one that I can use for a bit as a "beater-up gun" until I get better.

(That was something like what I said to another guy). Also, I'm not an expert, I am a noob, but for me, this gun performs just fine, and where I live, there is not really a place to buy one, and on the net, I will be looking at about, anywhere from $300-$400 (thats even on CANADIAN sites), and I play guitar as my main hobbie...I could put a down-payment on a guitar...hell, I could buy a guitar with that money.

I'm also only going to say this once:

1) Lose the smartass attitude if you want any answers around here.

2) Be aware that this is an airsoft forum, catering to airsoft players, who use realistic imitation firearms to partake in the game of airsoft. We don't know a lot -or care much for- cheap clearsoft pieces of crap, because they're completely usless for our purposes. Even collectors who don't play -they don't want the clearsoft stuff because it looks like ass and functions nothing like the real ones do, whereas proper airsoft pistols do. Same thing goes for accessories. We don't know much about any accessories that fit on clearsoft crap, because it's cheap and useless. Not to say some around here don't know anything about it.. just don't count on it.

You buy a $300 gas blow back, you can resell it for $300 perhaps more if you're only plinking with it. You also get a feel for real airsoft.

You buy a $40 springer, it breaks, you're left with a receipt and some broken bits.

You are saving yourself trouble and money.

Get age verified and you'll have access to the classified boards here. Once you do that, TM makes great 1911's and Sig P226's. If you want a glock, go for KSC.

This assumes you're 18 or older. If not you'll have to wait until you get older.

Depends what type you want. Tokyo Marui Hi-Capas are amoung the most reliable available. TM makes a good 1911 as well. IIRC, KSC makes some of the best Glocks. Not sure about USP's. KJW is hit or miss.. I know some people that have them and have had no issues, I know others who have had nothing but problems with them.

I have 1 question too though...well maybe 2...What about a P90...any kind...they are not too big, and I like the looks of them...Like I said earlier, I am a noob, and I don't know a lot of companies, but I heard that the new P90's are good...They suit my needs...:Small(er), Shoots a lot fast, but I heard can still be controlled, and are reliable, and best of all, NOT A WALL-MART GUN!!! YAY!!!

I have a JG P90.. I love it. The thing is a demon in CQB, and properly upgraded it can be quite effective outdoors as well. It's small, light, easy to move around, and not very common.

The only 2 worth getting though are JG (which will run you around $350), or TM (which will run you around $600). Stay away from Classic Army P90s.

If you're 18 (or at least 16 with a parent), I suggest you come out to a game and ask to examine people's equipment and guns. Most airsofters are more than happy to show off their stuff. You'll learn far more by doing that than you will on here, especially if, like you said, you're a completely new to the hobby.

Neither of you have been around long enough to be telling people what and what not to post.
