[Request]KJW 1911 MEU (CANSOFT)

I just saw this on a site I don't know if I'm allowed to say it...but I would like a review before I buy it.

Pleases and thanks

Shirley October 15th, 2009 00:08

Damn, so secretive.
I guess the guys and retailers who were here for years haven't known those secret cansoft websites yet..

baker_Jeff October 15th, 2009 00:19

I don't know about the Cansoft versions yet (my order should be coming in tomorrow) but my full metal version is the hardest hitting (blowback, and FPS) and straightest shooting pistol I've used.

Ah, when I saw the guns on your site I was like *twitch* *twitch*... I'll either get that one or the Socom Gear one...haven't decided, not sure which one is better.

Thenooblord October 15th, 2009 07:40

socom gear

You sure about that? I though i heard socom gear were made by WE.

If thats the case, I would much rather buy a KJW. Also, Does anyone know, Is the KJW a Tm clone?

baker_Jeff October 15th, 2009 08:37

They *should* be TM compatible.

All KJW are TM compatible. Well their pistols are anyways. I'd take the socom gear one though, but you might want to becareful of the barrel bushing WE guns have a tendency to break.

Saberwing October 15th, 2009 10:14

Hey Jeff, any words on magazines for the MEU coming to Capital Airsoft? I'll be pre-ordering mine tonight possibly...

LOL

Then some one was REALLY trying to rip some one off.

Unless it came with 7 or 8 mags, there's no reason why it should have been that expensive.

Socom gear pistols go for about $300 or so

Even with 7 or 8 mags it wont cost that much... $300 for the base gun and at $18-20 a mag it's only $432-450.

just saying...

My best bet is to wait for a review to come out or some retailer to get their hands on it, It should be a TM clone though. Since KJW made the 1911 which was cloned from the TM one, which would mean less cost for KJW cause they wouldn't have to get a new mold thus reducing the cost to you and to them

ujiro October 15th, 2009 11:50

$18-20 per 1911 mag? I wanna know where you're getting your mags from! They are more expensive than that!

Anyone know if Socom gear MEU mags are compatible? I can get those from one of my suppliers for about $35 cdn (retail price :D). Otherwise I can get standard KJW 1911 (classic style double stacked), or the new stainless MEU mags from CAS. I'll be ordering some today.

Socom gear MEU / WE use a different magazine that is just used on the WE, not compatible with TM/TM clones.
TM, KJW, Bell and ARMY R27 (MEU) magazines are cross compatible and will work on each other. (Info regarding the KJW full metal version, but should be the same for the clearsoft one)

Im pretty sure some KJW glocks aren't TM clones.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw October 15th, 2009 17:27

From my understanding they were cloned from the TM G26 for the internals and slapped them in the larger frames/slides. Correct me if Im wrong.

-edit-

baker_Jeff October 15th, 2009 20:16

What do you mean by coloured grips? The MEUs come with very nice rubber grips.

Thenooblord October 15th, 2009 20:31

maybe he meant frame

knightoice October 15th, 2009 21:24

That pistol is sexy
Like all 1911s

Yeah sorry man.

Bit sleepy.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw October 15th, 2009 23:26

Not to sound brash but your not gonna find out where to obtain restricted parts until you get AV'ed. Just get it over with already, if you truly are indeed over 18. This whole skirting around the issue is showing the tell tale signs of a minor.

808 October 16th, 2009 17:35

I'd love to review one of these on 6mm-mag.com.

HUGE MEU fan.

And you guys are right about KJW Glocks and the TMG26 "system" being clones. Hopefully KJW has cloned TM on the MEU and not WE/SOCOM Gear. Just my opinion though.

Saberwing October 17th, 2009 07:24

So has anybody received their MEU yet?

Half correct, KJW also has cloned the TM G17 as well. I have just used internal parts from (shameless plug) Airsoftparts.ca to rebuild my KJW G32C OD using G17 parts. go figure
cheers

KJW cloned the Glock26 from TM if you recall TM made a glock 26 advance. Take off the frotn compensator and extended magwell and boom you got a normal glock 26.

Alright cool, thanks Jeff. BTW, how long would one take to ship to Toronto?

baker_Jeff October 20th, 2009 08:49

About 4 business days.

I will also be doing a video review of the gun itself and it's features that will be posted hopefully by mid-next week!

Ok guys, after my fair share of BS today I have finally come in contact with my 1911, and will be doing a review shortly.

Great, looking forward to it.

Wilson January 24th, 2010 07:42

Which real 1911 or copy is this compatible with? I want one but I need a holster for it, and I only do Blade-Tech or Uncle Mike's kydex now (they need a very specific model as it is molded for the weapon).

$£B March 20th, 2010 15:22

Anyone knows if this mag would be compatible http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magazines...m-e-u-gbb.html (I mean sure about the compatibility)
