Questions about KSC USP .45
Just wondering if anyone know any good weaponlight to go with the KSC USP .45?
Also, are there any weaponlight-laser combo attachment out there for this gun? Is the KSC MK23 silencer compatible with their USPs? One last question, are there silencer adaptors for USP .45s or is getting a threaded barrel the only way? Thanks a lot! |
A quick search on the Yahoo, showed these:

The MK23 suppressor should fit on the USP, and I'm not sure if KSC makes a USP Tactical, so you'd have to get a threaded barrel for it. There IS the KJW USP Tactical that comes with metal slide and threaded barrel, they aren't bad, a couple friends have one and love it.

I'd seriously go for a USP Tactical if I could, but I'm rather fond of my FMU KSC MK23. :)

Thanks for the input guys.
For the weaponlight I think I will go with the Star QD M6 Flash Light & Laser (http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...p?prodid=10288). Does anyone know if the VFC M3/M6 Light Mount Adapter (http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=7217) will be able to fit the M6 light/laser? (I know it says M3/M6 on the name, but just wanted to make sure) Or is it better to go with the King Arms Under Mount Base (http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=9272)? I like the VFC better because it just looks cleaner and it's CNC'd. |
Go with the King Arms. I've used them and they're great bases.

There are quite a few pictures of these upgraded USPs in the Media board you can check out. Mr Jon has some awesome pictures http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...&highlight=USP That StreamLight TLR, although very very sexy, is many wallets away from my budget...lol. |

Also I've seen a suppressor on 007Airsoft (http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/silencers.htm)that looks exactly like the MK23 suppressor and is 14mm but for some reason it says it's for AEGs. Is it a typo? It also says it's negative threaded...does that mean CCW? Thanks. |
Oh nevermind the SD metal threaded barrel also comes with a 16mm version.
Another question though...I am planning to get the SD metal "tactical" slide/barrel set for my USP .45 "standard". Am I going to have any compatibility issues? Is the KSC USP Tactical line just the KSC USP .45 Standard line but with a threaded barrel and the marking "Tactical" on the slide, with everything else the same? Thanks. |
bump?

You can stick any weapon you like on the USP.
Heck, I use a regular tac light on a scope mount. It works great. |
Thanks, Shock.
But does anyone know if the SD USP Tactical slide and threaded barrel set will be compatible on my USP .45 Standard? |
The silencer is marked for AEGs because it is 14mm treads.
The USP and MK23 use 16mm treads to match the real one better. You will most likely need one of the adapters if you want to use any "molded" weapon light, because the rail is not 20mm. The reason why Shock can use a scope ring is that the bracket is not attached to the rings, and allow a larger rail. The VFC one work with anything. It basically goes in the UPS rail grooves and adds a 20mm rail right under (think how you add the rail to a Marui 5.1). To what I know, you can use any "Tactical" slide as long as it is for the same size of UPS (.45 vs. Compact). Same goes for outer barrels. |
Just FYI, make sure you know what KSC system your USP is. A System 7 USP can only use System 7 slide, the old one wouldn't work, and vise versa. Now within the system, any USP .45 slide should be interchangeable, and any USP Compact slide should be interchangeable.
+1 for the VFC adapter, I've had the KA and VFC ones, and I like the VFC one better, its just a simpler system. If you want a dedicated USP light, you need to go with Insight M2 UTL, which is made for USP(for $130-ish USD on eBay), or if you can find it, Tanaka makes one for airsoft.... |
Thanks for the response, guys. And thanks RacingManiac I am aware of the system7-nonsystem7 compatibility issues. I am leaning towards the VFC as well. It's less bulky, simpler, and its metal makes me feel better than KA's ABS.
