Gun cases?
Ok so I'm new to airsoft but I have heard it before. Keep your guns concealed. It makes a lot of sense of course so now I'm looking for a way to transport my M-4.
What I'd prefer and wanna get at some point is hard shell cases for my guns. For now I just have an M-4 but I might be grabbing an M-16 this week and I'd say these two guns can fit two common case profiles being shorter and longer. So does anyone know of any good companies that make such cases and who distributes them in Canada or specifically in BC? |

If you don't need the "Double gun case", get this one http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows...e%252BCase.jsp
15$, buy 2 if you have 2 guns:rolleyes: One thing I dislike, the foam is really cheap. I mean, my metal sling attachment point tore thru it. Worth the 15$ anyway ;) |
The Flambeau ones are good. But for transport, I prefer a soft case. Ehobby has a good selection http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/combat-ge...ses/index.html

I bought the double a while back, and I couldn't get it to fit in the trunk of my car (Sunfire).
Anyone have issues fitting the single? Is it much shorter than the double? Know it won't fit both my MP5A4 and my M4, but I'm okay with that if it'll fit just 1 if it'll fit in the trunk (Civic now). |
^Fold down the seats?
I still regret buying a soft case...:( |
You can get decent soft cases for cheap at armynavydeals.ca

Hmm. That looks like a start. Actually though I was thinking a case like you see detonation controls in and such. Just kinda a style I prefer and they get used for guns and rockets and detonators and computers and all sorts of things so they don't really scream "I got a gun in me!"

Alright so I did some searching and found some great options. Seems a company called Pelican cases makes gun cases for the US army and will sell to civilians so you know they are good. A quick look through their site shows they have some M-4 specific cases for $340-380 each but I noticed they have similar sized cases made for general use that are half the price.
I'm looking at this one for my M-4 and wondering if anyone could give me a definite overall length on n M-16 and what length barrel is standard for an M-16 and if there even are mock suppressors that actually sleeve over a barrel so you can have the look of a suppressor while having a long barrel without it having to be that much longer because of the suppressor. http://www.casesbypelican.com/pelican_1700.htm |
Yeah it fit with the seat folded down, but I was hoping it would fit without having to.

Here's a Pelican 1750. Got my M4, 1911A1, XM203 and a slew of other goodies in it.

If a Pelican case is really want you want then just goto your local hunting store, gun shop, tactical store, etc. and most will stock these.
An M16 is exactly 1 meter long. Regarding suppressors, you can get any type you want. Screw on, quick detatch, sleeve onto flash hider, etc. and of various lengths. You just have to look but importing suppressors into Canada can be iffy. Customs seizes them at times. A lot of people do hide longer inner barrels inside suppressors. I don't like the practice myself. I don't know why you just don't google all of this man. http://www.irl.bc.ca/Forestry%20Supp...ican_cases.htm http://www.pelicancasesinbc.ca/ |

You probably don't want to know. I would say 500-600 for all 3 cases maybe more if he got the foam on the others.

This isn't really a case...but I was at Bass Pro and they had a Plano (guys that make a lot of fishing tackle boxes) "foot locker" on sale for $35. It has 5 snapping latches...pretty beefy. And 3 lock points (reg padlocks work). It has 2 small wheels...they're small and don't stick out which is nice....but it'd roll smoother with bigger wheels. No handle per se...but there's handholds to grab to lift it.
Strong enough to sit on the corners...it'll flex if you sit on the middle. It's nice to sit :) It's big enough I can put the following into it...it fits my trunk perfectly. - Helmet - 2 goggles - kneepads - BDU's - Wasatch loaded with mags for the primary gun - Small Galil, stock collapsed - in small soft case - PTW CQBR in soft case - Big Gym Bag that holds: -- holster/mag pouch -- sling -- 3-4 grenades -- propane can + adaptor -- extra batteries -- ~10 mags for alternate gun -- BBs/loader -- radio/headset -- gloves/shemag/etc -- misc stuff that I don't even know that's in there. It's not compact by any means...but it fits everything I need to go to a game. I can get to a place, gear up, stash my civies away tidy, sit on my box waiting for the start of thing...then at the end, pack it all up, toss in my scrubby BDUs and toss it in the trunk. I've been testing it out the last couple of games/events...tossing it, dropping it while it's full, dragging it accross parking lots and gravel areas, etc... It's holding up well. My only regret is that I didn't buy two more of them at the time. |

Great stuff. I think I'm gonna go for a pelican case or two just cause I know I'll have them twenty years from now.
Additional question though is would a 1700 be able to fit two standard sized M-4s? Like if you have their mag wells almost touching. Or would the same with M-16s and the 1720 work? As odd as it might be I'm mainly concerned with casing the gun since I have motor sports connections which get me free gear bags and I'm gonna grab a mid size one to throw in tactical vests and helmets and gloves and such. |

measure the rough size of what the 2 m4/m16's will take up, add 1 1/2 inches to 2 inches and then pick your case |
