Plate Carrier Question

I'm 6'3 and about 160, thin. Wondering if anyone has had experience with a plate carrier that fits small. I have tried the Condor modular plate carrier, and it fits too big, even with the Velcro cumberbund sinched all the way. I need something molle compatible, and not a load bearing vest.

Thanks for the input.

You could try a 6094 plate carrier they are a smallish plate carrier, plus plenty adjustable.

Cut the elastic off the back of the MOPC cummerbund, then use shock cord and thread it through the molle. Get's you a tighter MOPC while still retaining the comfortable elasticity.

LBT 6094, Shellback Banshee, Crye JPC, Mayflower APC, BFG LMAC should all suit your needs.

I'd recommend the Shellback Banshee. It's nice and light, fits snug due to the shock cord on the cummerbund and it's quite affordable.

Currently run a Mayflower APC with a Ferro elastic (slick) cummerbund.

6'3" 180lbs. Broad shoulders, narrow waist...

I am 6' 1'' and 160. I find plate carriers too bulky. Summer games I use a chest rig and winter indoor cqb I use a regular tac vest with the foam padding removed.

I'm the same height, weight and build as you are and I run the Banshee. Greatest piece of combat gear I have ever owned. Very comfortable, easily adjustable and great construction.

If you consider this plate carrier as on option, pick it up quickly. TAG just upped the price to something like $160.00 USD when it was running for about $110.00 not too long ago. If you're lucky you may still find one in the low $100.00 range.

I'm a fan of the LBT 6094 Plate Carriers and the USMC SPC, both are lightweight, and extremely mobile to the CF Tacvest I ran for years (God knows why I chose the Tacvest....)

All these or the Ferro FCPC would suit your needs I've ran all of them minus the Banshee and they've all fit really well to small to medium builds JPC and the APC would be the best for skinnier build guys

+1 to the banshee. If u go to the second line kit gallery. Im the last one to post pics of my vest in there. I ordered mine from LAPolice gear.com for $115 i think. Cheapest i found. I also got a double mag pouch and an admin pouch and with shipping it hit around $210. Then another $31 for duty and taxes when it got here. Yeaaaaa it can be pricey but man this vest is absolutely unreal. You will NOT regret it i guarantee it.

running a MBSS with a PACA underneath.. sold my 6094 that also fitted not too bad with the plates inserted

Companies like Blackhawk have sized plate carriers, and better adjustment methods.
