Would laser beam allows in battles?

Would green/red laser beam (for targeting) allows in both outdoor and indoor battles?

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw March 11th, 2010 22:36

Green lasers are a big nono for most people. Some people use red lasers but treat it with the utmost care so you don't sweep people across their eyes. You will find yourself in a world of shit if you do.

[SIK] PiƩr March 11th, 2010 22:40

I dont know where you live zollen, but in the province of Quebec, lasers (any type) have been completely banned.

Apparently, some folks did not understood how to use them properly and that's what happens in those circumstances.

It's usually like this, everyone pays for morons.

Advice : If you do have any, keep your lasers for your private games.

zollen March 11th, 2010 22:52

Thanks for the info. I shall drop laser beams from my shopping list.

Drake March 11th, 2010 23:01

Their usefulness is marginal at best, anyway.

Save your money for decent optics instead, like a red dot or Eotech clone... vastly more useful, specially in CQC.

Zeonprime March 11th, 2010 23:08

greens are a huge ass NO. Drake is right, spend the $ on optics. I have had lasers and rarely used them. Though shooting deathsniper in the knee by aiming with laser was most enjoyable since I was in such a tight space I couldnt line up with my sights hehe but that is pretty much the only time a laser ever was useful to me.

Barf March 11th, 2010 23:46

Leave the lasers at home. Snipers get genuinely pissed off if they take a laser beam through the scope.

kullwarrior March 11th, 2010 23:53

And remember, how long does it take to get eye damage using laser is NOT by second my MICRO seconds a sweep through the eye really quick will still cause permnament damage.
This sound quite familiar to... can I use 12ga shot gun if I load bbs in shells and very small amount of smokeless powder?!?

Sha Do March 12th, 2010 01:21

There is no damaged caused by the laser if it is 5 mw or less, and so with this little amount of power they are useless a tits on a bull. Buy good optics instead.

thats just like saying 22lr are useless against people wearing Level 5 Dragon skin...
It will still damage, just that you will still be able to see...somewhat

Lasers not made by shitty companies whose output is less than 5mW will cause no more damage than a Tac-light. The only time they can cause damage at that power level is if they have had there filters removed, or in the case of cheap ones..dont have a filter at all.

Of course there is no way of spotting this by looking at it, so this becomes a moot point. But just so you know, a decent laser is harmless at 5mW or less.

CDN_Stalker March 12th, 2010 07:03

I've used lasers at hom on my pistols, I find them too distracting and not that accurate. Sights and instinctive win.

Only if you're wearing a Star Fleet uniform or Storm Trooper armour.

TechSeller March 12th, 2010 07:36

They are particularly dangerous near water...
