KWA M9 PTP Cycling Problem

I have a KWA M9 that was working fine for a few months and then started running into some cycling issues. I figured it was because I hadn't cleaned and lubed it in a while, so I took it apart, cleaned out all the nooks and crannies with about half a box of Q-Tips and toothpicks and lubed everything back up and put it together again. The gun was working fine for a couple weeks and then yesterday when my buddy and I were plinking, I had the same issue happen. I'm fairly certain its not a lube issue since the slide and frame still have that oily glisten in some spots.

What basically happens is that I get maybe 5-6 rounds off and then the slide doesn't complete a cycle. It's not locked back, but it's almost like it doesn't have enough pressure to kick all the way back. So this ends up holding the valve open part way, thus expending most of the gas in the mag. If I remove the mag, rack the slide a couple times and then reload, I'll get maybe another 3 or 4 shots before it happens again. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

I do not know if KWA has a Canadian site, but if you go to http://www.kwausa.com/support you can open a support case with them.

You will have cycling issues if you use propane with out adding silicone. The "bulb" will stick in the barrel/locking block, preventing the next BB from getting loaded. As well, when cleaning the pistol, don't leave traces of heavy grade silicone on the slide rails. Heavy silicone actually attracts and holds dust, which will not help matters.
If you are adding silicone to the propane and you are still having this issue, check to make sure that your return spring is not damaged, and then speak with the guys at KWA USA (link posted above by Eagle Driver).

What is this bulb that you're referring to? As for the return spring, the slide returns with no problems when I am pulling the slide back manually. It doesn't matter with what speed or force I pull the slide back, it still returns on it's own.

The bulb is what a lot of the gas guys refer to the bolt as, mainly the bolt internals (one or two parts). Anyways, if there is no sticking issue with the slide or the bulb, it can only be a couple of things. Open a tech issue with KWA and they will help you out.
