Motor Gear

Hey guys. My motor's gear has small dents on the lower part, would this be because the motor is too far back?

yup, it's too low, raise it.

right now there's not enough damage to cause any alarm, but it is speeding up the wear process.

Alright, like a few turns?

Thanks.

Until it sounds the quietest. Take a single shot, adjust, take a single shot, adjust. Keep going until it makes the least noise and sounds the smoothest.

Well I've had my gun upgraded to 400 fps and it makes more of a grinding noise now than it did before (310 range). Is this normal, it's with different gears too. I can't really tell the difference in noise when adjusting it, because I tried the other day and didn't really notice a difference. ;)

This is normal.

You won't get a perfect fit unless your shim job is matched perfectly to the motor/grip you are using.

If your gun is as silent as it can, then you don't have any problem.
