AKs 74u Battery

Hey guys,

I might be getting a CYMA AKs 74u, and I'm wondering if it can handle a 9.6 V stock?

Thanks

Yes it can handle it no problem.

It can handle 12.8v Madbull LifePo batteries. I have been using mine with no problems and since the motor is a stock torque motor the rate of fire is great but not to high to keep up to the mags. Works awesome

yes it's design to use a regular stick battery, but you can put a long g&P9.6v 200mah stick batt

So it could take a 7.4V or 11.1V lipo?

I know it sounds dumb, but I want to be sure :)

Thanks for the answers guys!

Not only can it handle it, I strongly suggest it. The stock spring is pretty stiff (high 300 fps) and the gun just feels way more responsive with 9.6v behind it. I got the Intellect 9.6v 1600mAh stick from Airsoftparts and never looked back.

Same applies to the Kalash AKSU.

edit; the only stick batt that won't fit is the G&P 9.6v 2200mAh, which is unusually long and only fits into full size AKs with the extended battery compartment in the handguard.

i used to have a CYMA aksu and a g&P 9.6v fits without any issue (just need to place the connector wire properly )

I rear wired mine to the triangle stock and wrapped tan and green para cord around it to house the madbull LifePo. Everything folds and it is wrapped so tight that bb's bounce off the wrap. Works great if you want to use bigger LIFO/LIFEPO batteries. The madbull versions fit in nicely because they are butterfly setup and skinny to fit in the middle of the triangle stock.
