Classic Army upper receiver problem

Last year I picked up a Classic Army metal upper and lower M15a4 receiver set, The previous owner fully disassembled the upper receiver and put all the parts in a bag.

Now I'm trying to assemble the charging handle but I can't figure out how it works, I might be missing some parts.

Does anyone have a picture of the insides of the upper receiver? Or could someone with a classic army metal receiver please take a picture?

Thanks in advance,

You can't figure how to put the charging handle back in? You need to screw on the spring to the upper and attach it to the hook on the charging handle. When you're putting the upper and lower together, pull on the charging handle all the way back and slide the upper and lower together. I'll take some pics for you in a bit.

Google the manual/blow up diagram for any missing parts.

Sup bro, I don't think it would help him if he doesn't know what it suppose to look like.

I not sure if this is the part you're talking about but this is what it looks like.

charging handle doesnt do anything in the CA traditional body, so all you need to do is stick it in common sense style.

Might wanna mention too that the charging handle has absolutly no fuction whatsoever on the CA's it does not open the bolt cove like most do. more just for show

Thanks, the pics really helped.

Looks like I'm missing the spring. Time to dig through the parts boxes to find something that will work.

I didn't realize that the charging handle doesn't do anything. I assume that the ejection port stays closed using the magnet and that thin metal plate thing?

Correct. The magnet holds the port cover closed by sticking to the fake bolt carrier (the thin metal plate thing).

Actually, sportline CA's have magnets, but proline CA's have a functional charging handle and bolt catch.

Other way around man. The Sportsline are the cheap TM knockoffs and have the same ejection port release system as TM. I've seen 3 Sportsline models (1 metal, 1 black plastic, 1 clear) and they all have a 'functioning' cocking handle that opens the ejection port cover like on a TM.

The Proline (at least the older models) use the magnet. And this is the type the OP has. I hear the new 2010 Proline models have the functioning handle / bolt catch, although I haven't seen one of these myself.

Yes the new CA proline models have functioning handle and bolt catch.

But I have a 2009 proline, it's stitting like 5 feet away from me, and several of my teammates have 2009 sportlines, the prolines have a functioning charging handle, and the sportlines have a magnet, I guarantee it :p

OK, perhaps they started with the functioning handle with the 2009 lineup then. I haven't seen any of the new ones.

However, the Sportsline ones I saw (admittedly, the last was over a year ago) had the functioning handles. And my CA M15A4 (Proline - purchased 2007) had the magnet. Perhaps they changed the Sportsline models since then.
