How do you tell a '96 TM DE from an '03?
 

Hey y'all,

Just got a quick question. How does one tell when a Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle was made? Reason I'm asking is that I have a Guarder upgrade metal body, but can't for the life of me tell if either of my 2 Deagles are 2003 models or not.

I thought I had it pegged with my chrome DE, but I just got a black one off the sales thread and it's the hard kick version, but has different shroud over the ejection port. I assumed that's cause it was the '96 version, but I just want to be sure before I pull the gun apart.

Please let me know if you know where to find that manufacturing date on a TM Desert Eagle without the box or manual.

maybe find some manuals for them and compare the two? should be able to tell that way.
