KWA G36C upgrades

I just bought a KWA G36C. I was wondering what upgrades people think would be best for it. I wanted to get the magwell that converts it to take m4 clips, but another thread I read people said that it did not work the best. Any other Ideas?

What's wrong with it, what do you want to improve? Pretty much the question you have to ask yourself.

I was wondering if any of the internals needed upgrading.

If it's shooting fine, you don't need to. If it breaks, then upgrade ;)

I have a King Arms M4 magwell adapter. It works decently, there is a bit of mag wobble in it though which to me is a fair trade off for having cheaper mags.

As far as upgrades, if your budget is tight I would recommend waiting for the adapter and getting a new cylinder head and tappet plate. It's a cheap upgrade and both of those things commonly break on the KWAs. Other than that I love my KWA. It's got great range and other than those two failures (and me always breaking magwells because I fall on my gun constantly) I really love it. I plan on getting a silencer and putting an M4 length tight bore barrel into it.

NEW CYLINDER HEAD!!!

Mine blew apart after less than 1,000 rounds. Other than that the only things I've done to mine are rewire to deans and a tightbore. Thing works amazing, doesn't really need anything else.

That was odd chum, I have one and it shot about 20 000 rounds so far. No worries.... now look I cursed myself. I better go buy a new piston and clyinder tommorow.

Damn you Kalnaren!!! :)

BTW my cansoft KWA shoots about 400 to 420 so if anything you will need to downgrade it at sometime for indoors. I have to agree, never upgrade until you break it. A good rule to live by for life come to think about it.

Yea I think ill wait till something breaks, thanks for the advice.

Have you chrono your KWA G36C yet? What's the fps and firing rate?

kalnaren May 30th, 2010 10:55

FPS is around 390 IIRC. I estimate the ROF on a good battery to be around 15.

deep in the bush May 30th, 2010 16:55

Mine is about 390 to 405.
(used to shoot until it was leant out many times)

my friends in 390-410, i'd have a piston head ready for when it does break but don't switch it yet because the current one has just fine compression. That way though it'll be ready for when it does break.

Is this a good upgrade?

EA G36C Alumnium RAS Handguard

kalnaren May 31st, 2010 18:52

That's not an "upgrade" -it's just a different foregrip. Personally I don't see the point. The KWA already has 3 rails and already fits a large battery. What would you gain by adding that? (aside from making the front of the gun retardedly heavy)

zollen May 31st, 2010 19:38

Would the Madbull Noveske KFH Amplifier too big for KWA G36C? I fear I may not be able to remove the KWA handguard....
