CA M15A4 (Sportline) - Flash Hider Removal

Hello,

I have the orange tip on and would like to remove it and put the black one on. There is no set screw just seems to either be on there or glued on.

Any help with removing it?

haha, funny I'm trying to do the same thing. I have an ICS M4A1 and I'm facing the exact same thing here.

Anyone that has done it without damaging the gn please let me know, it is glued on aswell.

Just give it one hell of a twist. Same deal with my old one.

It is in fact glued on. I put a little acetone on the threads and popped it off.

Let it soak in for a bit...careful with the acetone though..it will eat through plastic.

Nail polish remover will work as it is mostly acetone.

won't the glue make putting a new flash hider on next to impossible?

Oops... I just seen the post nvm.

How do you put it on the threads if the flash hider is on..? :S

I used a wrench and it came right off.

Ok heres what I did.

I took a blow drier and took it to the flash hider for about 2-5 minutes. Then I took a vice-grip wrench thing not sure the name and just twisted it off.

To take it off you twist clock-wise and to put it on you go counter-clockwise.

This is for my CA not sure about any other makes.

That seems to be the way everyone does it. I'd suggest this method

Or dip it in boiling water.

Just drip it on from the top...it'll seep into the threads underneath
