My SS226 rapid fires?...
 

as title says it rapid fires... i don't know why or how but it just does. can anyone help with this or has had this problem and know how to fix it? haha

Try making sure the mag is warm before shooting it.

What do you mean? It fires in auto?

yeah i usually leave the mag till its warm

yea haha when i hold down the trigger it doesnt sstop shooting till i let go haha it actually goes full auto on me

I had a Luger go full auto on me, the problem ended up being Silica BB's.
Once I stuck good ol' fashion in there, worked like a charm no problems at all.

that can't be my problem im just using green devils haha, i guess im fielding a full auto pistol this weekend

man i wish my desert eagle would fire full auto. and could it be part of the trigger system maybe the sear isnt working

the trigger system looks completely fine ireally have no idea whats causing this lol

mmmmm well if nothing is getting broken by full auto dont fix it(that my option cause full auto pistols are the only way to go)

haha i tried it in my basement, its pretty cool but my accuracy's gone down the drain haha

I'm having almost the same problem with my new SS226. (only 1 mag shot so far.)
Symptoms:
Fires full auto with a prolonged trigger squeeze.
After between 5 and 10 rounds the hammer will not lock back. The slide will strip a BB into the chamber but not lock the hammer. At this point gas will sometimes continue to vent.
On the first 2-3 times I squeeze the trigger a liquid is being propelled out along with the gas from the breech/slide area.

Diagnostics done so far:
Racking the slide reveals a spot about 1/3rd of the way through the slide's forward motion where it has a significantly higher amount of resistance.
The very top corner of the hammer when fully cocked has been worn to bare metal. Click Here
Hammer has 2-3mm of play when fully cocked.
Lubricating the hammer and the slide with only a field strip has not helped. See below, disassembly of hammer with massive amounts of lubrication has provided improvement. Duration and quality of improvement remains to be seen.

My initial thoughts:
The play in the hammer is causing it to sit higher then it should when fully cocked and it is rubbing on the slide preventing full slide travel.

How can I correct this?

Haha I'm getting this issue too.. It's a shame because I didn't really get to see how it performed on semi. When I manage to get just one shot off it seems pretty decent too. Hopefully someone can find a fix for this because I really haven't got a clue.

I disassembled the hammer portion of my SS226 and found that the pivot for the hammer is not a tight fit with the hammer (there is ~.5mm of space on each side for a total of 1mm of free movement). It's this that is giving the play in my hammer and preventing it from staying in the full back position when cocked. I don't have anything to correct this gap. I re-assembled the gun with lots of lube on all contact points and test fired. The first trigger pull seemed to be a double fire, then it remained cocked as it should be. The second and third trigger pulls were single shots. I will give it a full testing tomorrow as it is to late tonight. If it is in fact the hammer hanging the slide this may be corrected by wear as the gun gets broken in. I will advise as I test it.

Well, the lube didn't fix things, I sent mine back for warranty and they sent me a new one. I've put 2 mags through it so far and the new one is working fine.
