S400 Suppressor

My second suppressor. (first was the S200)

Made from 2 film canisters, a pen, and some Kleenex... It suppresses the sound so much, the sound of the AEG gears is louder than the actual "flash" of air. Still has the same accuracy as it does without the suppressor but it reduces the fps by 20-30.

Surprisingly it actually looks pretty badass for a DIY project.

Just one question though. How exactly do you thread it onto the front end? It doesn't look like there's any threads at all and it would seem as if the suppressor is kind of prone to falling off if running or something.

It uses a X system that locks on to the threads. Its not easy to get off. Next suppressor I build will have a threaded bold as it will be longer but thats once I figure out how I'm going to make it. Funny story: Went to wal-mart and asked if they had any old film canisters. Lady said how many do you need. I said how many you got. She went in the back and dumped a garbage can full of nothing but canisters and lids into a shopping bag. I have her a $2 tip.

At first I was going to say, what a noob, blah blah blah but damn, no noob can do that. That thing looks legit! Awesome job

Hrm, it shouldn't affecting your FPS..

Make sure the BB's aren't contacting anything on the way out of the barrel.

Those X nubs may be rubbing against the bb as it exits the barrel.

The x won't affect the fps. The inner barrel is the same diameter of a cylindrical file I have so I filed the inside of the pen tube. It's perfectly smooth and flush with the inner barrel. There is at least 1 cm between the inner barrel tip and the outer barrel so the pen actually goes inside the outer barrel, ultimately making the path for the bb clear of debris. The only thing that would cause a fps drop would be the spiral formation of exhaust holes I made in the pen to reduce the sound.

Once the BB leaves the barrel it wont gain any more FPS and things wont effect it unless it physically contacts them.

Are you sure that this is 100% straight all the time?
