Wearing Gear for Halloween?

A few of my friends wanted to wear our airsoft gear for halloween. I was hoping to get some opinions from you guys about it.
thanks in advance.

I don't see an issue with gear.

If you're asking about guns then you probably know it's wrong and are looking for justification to go out with them. So no, guns are not okay. Nerf or wood/cardboard cutouts would be a suitable substitute though.

Is there a possibility of being charged for "impersonating" an officer?

What kind of opinions you looking for? Legally its ok as long as you don't bring your guns with you, even the clear ones. Would be cool if you got light reflective tape on you or carry around a glow stick since most gear is meant to blend.

If your outfit says "POLICE" on it, then yes, most likely there is a possibility of being charged with impersonating an officer.

For an Armed force, I guess you could always pretend cosplaying from x movie :D

Might get sketchy if you disguise as a cop officer.

I beat that problem growing up. Instead of police across my chest or back, I had a shiny sherifs badges pinned to my shirt. I was 8 and my friend dressed up like an indian. lol

Fun times back when we could walk around with a cap gun that looked like a revolver. :)

alright thanks guys. so i guess gear would be fine then. but what if you were walking in a mall? cause thats where my friends want to go

Anyone dress up as an insurgent for Halloween? Any issues?

Janus October 25th, 2010 19:42

I'm packing some dropleg holsters and a simple black tactical vest for Hallowe'en and my girlfriend and I are going out as zombie hunters armed with nerf guns.

Nerf guns are hilariously awesome.

I don't know about the POLICE text on a shirt. I doubt it would be a problem on Hallowe'en, but you never know.

I was thinking about it for a while, but the idea of being marked as a military freak turned me down lol

JOC does a pub crawl every year. It's always funny looking at the faces when 10-20 guys walk in wearing full gear. We have strict rules about no guns unless they are obviously toys (bright colors, non firing) no airsoft guns at all.
and the pouches are great for holding beer and candy.

I finally found one picture of my suicide bomber costume from last year!

There are some better ones, but I have to wait on people...

That guy in the background doesn't look to happy..

cellulose October 26th, 2010 12:19

Well first of all he's a gangster, so of course he's not happy and second he's not even in a costume, so he can suck it.
