what can i do to max out the range on a spring rifle. im looking to buy one and want to buy what i need strraight off to give it full range

If you can't spend that without batting an eyelash, maxing out a sniper rifle isn't for you.

whats involved in doing that?? tighter inner barrel?? etc I was looking at the l96 off Buy Airsoft Canada but was curious about one that was a replica to other rifles like barret or cheytac that are available in Canada???

pistons, srpings, barrels, etc... you essentially keep the shell and replace all the internals.

as for the barret and cheytac, they can become availbable to you once your age verified and have a custom order done but prepare to pay 2.5-3x the american price so your gonna end up paying about 2500 bucks for either

if its your first gun its not recommended this isnt like a video game where you can pop out 2 feet away from some one, theres alot of skill involved and a minimum engagement distance of about 100ft
get an AEG and play with that, you can convert it into a counter sniper platform and play on semi auto.
and if your not 18 please wait dont try to circumvent the AV system

yeah i have a G&G m4. ive always liked the long range game. we play in a open field with some barns etc. so its pretty spread out. i would carry both depending on the game scenario.

I'm not an expert by any means of course, but I'd suggest (like everyone else will) getting age verified. Snipers are more a niche weapon so it would pay to expand your accessible market. Additionally you would likely be able to find better deals and upgrades here. As others have said, a sniper rifle might not be the greatest thing for you but thats up do you. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Marui VSR-10s are really good platforms for making a rifle.
Don't buy knockoff sniper rifles, bad platform = bad rifle
And for starters; tightbore, hop rubber, and 380fps spring. That will get you some pretty decent range and accuracy for around $160
Then once your trigger fails or you want better consistency, get a PDI cylinder set, V-trigger, and 400-440fps spring.
Most field limits are 470-500 (I think??), anyway you REALLY don't need to be above 440fps on .20s with a sniper rifle.
Above 440 your going to need something heavier than a .30g BB, and it gets pretty pricey....

And yes, ironic; an exclusive LMG gunner complaining about the cost of ammo LOL

First step is to use heavy BBs, quality 0.30g BBs minimum, that'll give you the range and stability you need. After that, upgrade the rifle, if you use lightweight crap for ammo, no amount of internals will get you anywhere. It's the BB that flies through the air afterall, not your gun. Unless you are Lt. Poncho. (Lol, sorry Wayne, couldn[t resist buddy!)

Fix the piston head and hop-up rubber on the G&G, then you'll out range all your friends (assuming all your friends are using stock G&G's)

ive been looking at the g & g m14 on buyAirsoft Canada. i like that its long range and can go semi or full. we play in an open area with some barns etc. so having range is important. thanks for all the input

There isn't really much long range about that one, it's still just a stock AEG. At least if you go for heavier rounds you'd like do better with it than your friends if they stick to nothing more than 0.25g. Just don't tell them your secret. ;)
