Upgrading length help

Ok so Ive got some money to blow and ive chosen what to unload on.

Making my gun look like this one.

As of right now I have a G&G GR16 R4 Commando with a blackwater suppressor. To get it to look like the pic above I would need:

- 11" Rail system
- Shorter outer barrel
- scope and scope mounts
- grip bi-pod
- magpul ladder rail covers
- short mag

But my question is, What length outer and inner barrel would I need for little to no gap between the suppressor and 11" rail?

You can get a 10" RIS kit with a 10.5" barrel (CQBR lenght)

Most 11" RIS kits are used with something short like a Noveske Firepig or with a regular barrel (14.5" M4).

That specific rail systems looks like a DanielDefense LiteRail 10.0 (http://danieldefense.com/rail-system...-extended.html) with a Gemtech G5 QD supressor and 10.5" barrel. Probably using either a VLTOR low profile gaz block or something similar.

Stock is a VLTOL EMOD (http://www.vltor.com/EMOD-New.html)

All theses can be found in airsoft replicas for a fairly decent price.

Thanks a lot!!! I knew it was a Gemtech suppressor lol but thanks for all of the other info. Im going to go with the 9" DD LiteRail system with a 9.5" barrel. Im also going to pick up a QD suppressor and some short M16 mags sort of like the one in the pic. I do have one more question though. What is the point of a gas block? On a real weapon to block the gas but on an airsoft gun?

Thanks again for all of the help.

It's not to block the gaz, it is to divert the gaz when the bullet has (or is near) exitted the barrel, to move the bolt carrier and bolt and load the next round (Basically, that is what makes the rifle semi-automatic)

On the airsoft variant it is just for looks.

Oh I see. Thanks again for all of the help. Would you happen to know where I'd get a scope like that?

The scope is a Trijicon AccuPoint. The RS retails for a buttload of money but you can find similar ones for a lot cheaper. For example: http://www.tactical-store.com/ts-bk-rs-ac10018.html .

Thanks for the link. I have another question.

How much of an offset is there? I mean, Im ordering a 10" rail system. If i order a 10.5" barrel will it reach .5" outside of the rail. Im about to order it so if anyone could order that would be great. Thanks

Yea that sounds about right. Also, I've noticed that the guy in the pic is using a VLTOR upper receiver. I personally think they're the best looking on the market and highly suggest you pick one up. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/catalogse...=vltor&x=0&y=0 None are in stock at the moment but I'm sure you can ask Ehobby if they sell the uppers and lower separately.

You could always buy a longer barrel and have a machinist cut it down and thread it to the exact length you need.... That's what I did lol
