M-14 buying dilema

Hello, it's just that i'm interested to buy a m-14 on Buyairsoft.ca but it says that the FPS is 485 ( THE G&G M14 BLACK MAX) AND THE LIMIT ON CERTAIN GAMES IN QC IS 400 FPS SHOULD I BUY IT AND PLAY WITH SOME 028G BB ??

the fps set by the game host is generally 400fps with a .20g bb.

even if you use a heavier bb, it will still be shooting hot.

FYI, always use heavy bbs. your gun will be more accurate.

Furthermore, you should really stay away from the G&G/CA M14s. TM is the way to go. There are a plethora of parts available for them that allows you to upgrade until your heart is content.

G&G/CA are really limited in their part availability.

There are TM M14s for sale in the classifieds right now that meet your requirements. give them a look over.

Aegs are measured using .20 gram bb's.So while yes using .28 gram ones would in effect lower the fps, the energy of each bbupon impact would remain the same. You would need to put in/ have someone else put in a weaker spring to lower the fps.

... Or for $700 you could get a package deal with mags included (Just search M14 in search bar....)

I personally look through the retailers AND classifieds and try and find what I want. If it's cheaper at a retailer then that's who gets my money, but if it's cheaper in the classifieds (or the same price/slightly more and includes goodies like mags, optics, and spare batteries) then that's who gets my money.

EDIT: LINK REMOVED AT REQUEST OF SENIOR MEMBER (I just assumed that if you're AV'ed you should be able to see it so it's all goot, but then again it would be unfair to other people selling their stuff in the classifieds).

From what I have read/heard G&G makes some of the best m14's out there, we have guys at our field that have them and love them.

As for the FPS thing the max series comes with a new spring (M100 i think) to bring the fps down to field limits

It looks like the G&G MAX rifles are all rocking 150 springs. You swap for a 120 or 130 spring and you should be under 400fps

... G&G makes the worst 1st party M14 on the market.

If you read the section "WHATS INCLUDED IN THE BOX"
- 1 x M100 Replacement Spring

your problem is solved

Yeah, you can replace your spring easily with the one included.

May I suggest you use the m150 spring outdoors for long range, at least I do that !
