General Magazine Question

Wasn't sure to put this in the newbie section or here.
I just bought a ca mp5. I have no magazines. Should I buy tm mags for them, or Ca? It would always make sense to me to use the brand of magazines that were intended for the rifle, but would tm be a better fit?

I love using my metal CA mags in my MP5. I am using a CA metal body with a TM mechbox.

but he's out of stock atm

Doesn't matter. Buy whatever MP5 mags you want and they should work.

TM, CA, MAG, etc

Metal mags are nicer, but they're more expensive and heavier.
Plastic mags are not as nice, but they're lighter and more disposable.
Also you might think metal mags are much more durable than plastic mags, but that's not always the case.

I bought the CA MP5 midcaps and they worked perfectly (in a TM gun). However, the pins in them came loose after a season and I had to glue the pins in. Not sure if the CA lowcaps will have the same issue. Still, for the price, the CA mags get my recommendation.

For MP5s if you want top of the line you should buy:
lowcaps - TM
midcaps - G&P
highcaps - none;)

If I may suggest you buy plastic mags. They are lighter and not as expensive, it sucks when you loose a mag on the field and people loose mags at every event. Plastic mags are also cheaper to replace.

Thanks everyone!

Plastic mags cheapen the experience. Don't cheap out on mags considering you own a nice CA MP5.

Know any stores that sell ca mags? Lots of tm ones everywhere.
