What was the base gun and where did you get the trades done?

Thanks, I'm quite proud of it. Its my 1st attempt at customising an AEG.

Very Nice! Green is good! ^^

Very nice, my only negative complaint is that the Real Steel furniture is actually quite shiny. Not flat like that.

Texas March 13th, 2011 17:53

is that rubber cover of Elcan scope painted?

Shiney isn't so great in any enviroment tbh and the ones I saw that they're using in Afghan are pretty much the same as mine.

Yeah couldn't find an actual green one.

Texas March 14th, 2011 16:07

even if you get it, the issued green rubber cover has the diferent size and wouldn't fit the repro Elcan :)

curious how is the painted cover usefull on practice? does the paint remain long after use?

Its fine and seem to be fairly hard wearing, I used Krylon paint on it incase you're wondering.

The only reasons the ones in afghanistan don't look shiny is because they're dirty. If you it to be an accurate repro... which I assume you do, then it should be quite shiny.

You don't have to believe me though, I've only been in the infantry for 4 years and only have one deployment, so I don't know what I'm talking about.

Here's a good pic for the level of shine on most C7A2s
