Concern of a Facebook Group

I just came across a facebook group and it raises my concern.

This is what they mentioned in one of their discussions and their first "game"

If we can get transport I say we go up to the forest way at the top of westwood, where people play paintball. It's much bigger, more open areas, flatter.. etc. Plus there are a lot less people wandering around up there.

Pretty much from what I understand, they're playing in the forest area in the middle of a residential area.... Jeopardizing the Airsoft Community?

its hard to tell really

did he mean a lot of the Players live around there?

Not teh best thing to see but could also be worse like

"let meet in the park at 1 cause most of the kids are going home for lunch at that time"

They're American, Remember what Rick Mercer has shown us about "talking to Americans?" lol

Also if you search a little further, They are in possesion of an outdoor field and resources.

I posted a message looking for confirmation. But my question is should I take any actions on this? And what kind?

There's nothing you can do about this, a) They are not members of ASC b) They are in a different country c) You could fire over a couple of emails or something but odds are they'll ban you from the page d) If you call the police on them (idk if you can from Canada), this would also result in a negative effect for airsoft so it's a Catch 22.

They are not from a different country, they are from Canada.

But this is pretty funny. ....... a pistol that apparently can shoot 400 fps.

Enjoi April 4th, 2011 10:11

There really isnt much you can do about it like the others have said. Send a few emails and most likely they`ll tell you to shove it or just not reply.

They`re In British Columbia Vancouver Area. I stand Corrected...

Who made you the airsoft cops?

Actions? yeah Phone the police , people shooting airsoft guns in a public space is a public safety matter and so a POLICE matter.

A brief conversation with the Police and these yahoos will sort them out.

Did you try contacting them, maybe?

Their "airsoft" is most likely from Walmart or CT or Bass Pro. They may not know better and may not even be aware there's a larger community out there.

If you're gonna do something, start with Mentor not Mall Cop.

Conker April 4th, 2011 11:34

Join the group and post a comment, or email the group admin... That's what I did in my area, and they joined the local underage community which, while underage, at least got authorizations to play on paintball fields thus greatly reducing any kind of risk of either getting shot or injuring random people.
