Motomaster white grease...ok??

I have been using motomaster white grease to grease the rail and slide on my pistol. I also recently had a mag leaking so i removed the O-ring and let it soak in that white grease and also put some white grease on it. Is this silicon grease im using ok for the gun and mag? My mag hasn't leaked since but it has only been a few days when it happened.

Thanks,

just wondering does it say anything about the percentage of the oil?
otherwise buy motomaster silicone oil, my brother uses it on his equipment and its 100% silicone

About using white grease. It's generally accepted that although it works it's crap. The one that you want is FinishLine Teflon Grease.

As for soaking the O-Ring you soaked it in white grease??? Or in silicone oil? I'd be concerned if you let it soak in white grease TBH but if you let it soak in silicone then it's all good.

I use white grease and its fine. Try to keep it off Orings if you can though. For orings use silicone GREASE not oil, oil will just pool, or make the oring swell up too much.

I used to use it along time ago - its not bad but it gets pretty messy and dirty. It doesn't perform that well in the cold either. It's great if you like to change your grease often.

Best stuff to use is the Teflon or PTFE type greases. It will last 3+ years of gaming.

white "lithium grease" is ok to lube stuff up with but if you want to soak some fill valve o rings I would suggest hitting up your local R/C shop and getting some shock oil (I use anything from 30-75wt) and soaking them in that.

I let it soak in silicon oil (the r/c shock oil stuff), and then when i put it back into my mag, i rubbed little white grease so it would stick better inside

its actually white silicon grease, it gets messy after i put my gun back together i have to wipe excess otherwise it works i guess, im just worried if i shouldn't have used it on the
o-ring itself, i didn't use a lot just small layer around the bottom
