I'm looking forward to picking one of these up from the Toronto Airsoft showroom!

Any website that sells the M16 will sell em. It only came out this weekendish. Give it time and they'll be everywhere.

what is so great about the open bolt design? I'm new to gbbr..

^I believe the general idea is that closed bolt is slightly better on gas, while open bolt has more consistency in its shots, also looks better!

Airsoft Global seems to have the open bolt M16A1 in stock now.

People like it better as it is more realistic, ( no brass tube seen in the ejection port)

There seems to be reliability and consistency gains if the G36 can be taken as a measure.

I have several of the AWSS ( brass tube "closed Bolt" ) design and I have the G36C ,, shot to shot the G36 seems to be more consistent, and seems to be better on Gas.

I have not fielded it enough to determine if the reliability claims are true.
