Rifle scopes...

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Tasco PROPOINT and the Strikefire Red Dot from Vortex. Links are below.

I would go for the strikeforce Vortex to be honest :P (looks more solid + comes with a better mount then the tasco + comes with a 2x magnifier! :))

The Vortex optics are absolute garbage for the money that you are spending

Owned a SPARC a and had the chance to shoot AR with the Strikefire. The glass quality is poor when compared to other red dots on the market at comparable price point and lower. With the Vortex line you are not getting what you pay for unless you are comparing it to a genuine Aimpoint.

I am FAR happier with the Primary ARMS Gen 7 Micro red dot. The dot on the Primary arms is crisper, glass quality is far better and it was 1/2 to 1/3 the price. I've had my Primary Arms off and on airsoft rifle, and on a AR. It's been on at brightness setting 6 since I got it 2 months ago, I've never turned it off, and i've abused it. Holds zero and dot has remained crisp and clean.

What I would like to know is if the night vision is genuine or not on the Vortex? Seems awefully cheap for a NV scope.

They are referring to it being NV compatible. Meaning that the "dot", can be set at a low enough power setting; as to not flare out your NV device.

Ya, I saw a few of those today. I really like what I see actually. Seems like a pretty decent platform and something that would work well on my GBBR.
