Goggles + Mesh lower face mask + ???

I recently purchased the Joker face mask from Evike honestly due to the sheer outrageous presence it might have out on the (CQB) field.

After my first match, I was shot just about the mask (high forehead) and blood began to poor down my face creeping ever-so-quickly to my eye. Now, I finished the match, and to answer your question I did not call my hit as this was a shot fired by a team mate. Awesome right?

Anyway, I decided to keep the mask/goggles but simply use the goggles along with a recently purchased lower face mask. Now, my question to you guys is what would you recommend I use for the top potion of my head. I wore a beanie under the joker mask which obviously did nothing.

I'm asking for recommendations here, based on experience and simply just personal preference. I'd like to know what has worked for you.

I just use a shemagh, wrap it any way I need to for what I need at the time.

I formed some plastic from 4L milk jugs around my lower face, put it under a bandanna and have my boonie down to my goggles. Works for me, but I don't stick my face out as a target. I think you should try that.

.

Mesh lower works well.. Good protection + good breath , a boonie hat would probably provide better resistance for head protection.

For CQB I generally wear a helmet

but let me ask you... do bullets care who shoot them?

Hit is hit regardless who pulled the trigger.

thanks, I do like the idea of wearing the shemagh. I might have to try one out. Boonie might not be a bad idea, but I feel like it might stick out a bit depending on how long the brim is.

Maybe I should keep my face behind cover right? haha fact of the matter is, I was facing my team, behind cover when I got hit. Little 9+ year old went trigger happy. Or maybe my mask scared him *shrug*

This place doesn't call team kills. I checked the rules beforehand

You probably won't find many people here with 9 year olds on their teams, or facing off vs. a 9 year old.

I wear goggles, a mesh lower, and a hat or helmet. I've had plenty of bleeders but I tend to laugh them off.

What's the field name, just so the rest of us know?

Brassguard Assassin mask with goggles over the slit. Seals well for me without having to wear the full praetorian.

You got shot in the head by a 9 year old teammate. Where to begin.... How about an answer to your question. Since you are asking about headwear, I would say a boonie is your best bet (you can get them in all forms of camo), the brim wont stick out as much as you think (I think a baseball cap brim would stick out more, but would also work). Although it might not be the best idea for middle of summer but a winter hat would work too (its thick). And of course there is a helmet. But sometimes no matter what, you just have to take the hit.
