Need input concerning Eotech clone

Hi everybody, I would like to have more informations concerning different type of Eotech clone of the same brand.

For what I read online HurricanE seems to be having the best clone of Eotech, but even them have many different products. My questions is, beside esthetical difference are these all on the same level of performance?

The fact is that I am considering in buying a KWA G36c and I want a good optic for it.

Thank you for your time and opinion

Is it OK if I piggyback on your thread Patdod?

Is this EOTech style sight (http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=148) good quility, or is they something with better price and quility? I plan to use a magnifier so I rather the 556/557 style.

in terms of going for an eotech, i wouldnt fork out a 150 bucks for a clone when you can get a real one for about 350 its a big leap but the difference is very big, like the real one is 100000000000 times better, thats just my opinion for clone eotechs, Red dot sights like aimpoints and stuff arent a big deal since they are pretty much the same, cept maybe the real one is much better quality but i cant tell the difference as far as im concerned,

and on the note of the g36c dont go KWA, just dont.... lol

Bottom line...

China optics are hit or miss, whatever the model. I had good success with my 551, but I have two other scopes that are glorified paper weights.
Hurricane is a nice middle ground, but no trades breaks it for me.
The real thing is of course nicer, especially if you mound the scope on a GBBR. Clone optics usually don't survive GBBRs.

You can also look at other models from real steel brands, personally I like the C-More products a lot.

If one of these sights gets shot, will it survive?

surebet June 6th, 2011 19:07

Pretty much only the real one has a chance to survive, but still slim. You can get lexan protectors though.

Might have more chances eith a real Tasco red dot? Haven't used them or anything but chances are it's better than a ACM optic. Can'Tire and Sail sells them around the 50$ mark

Go with cheap- everything- no matter what you pay for will eventually break. The cheaper may break sooner than later but maybe not. As for accuracy, we are shooting plastic bb's, a strong wind can change the direction they fly. You can purchase the most accurate sight but if your not using a Sniper weapon then they are just as useless as their clones. Just my two cents.
Ps- if you break it your out $50-$80 instead of hundreds.

I bought one for 36.99 US from khmountain.com

ill give you a link

just look through them all, even though it is a clone so much cheaper then ehobby and that

hope this helps you

You cant use a magnifier with a clone eotech... the reticle will get huge, and unlike a RS eotech... when your head moves... the reticles goes everywhere....

Au contraire... with a RS one, reticle doest move, it doesnt get washed away by the sunlight (unlike cheap eoitech clones), and works wonderfully with a magnifier! :P

I'm seriously considering getting a RS one, now that I've tried one at a gun store in California...

Where can I get a real one for 350? Last time I checked EOTech doesn't allow exports to Canada except for a few distributors. The model I'm looking at right now, the 553, is $880 through the official EOTech Canada website and I can't find them anywhere else. I don't need night vision... yet XD But uh, it doesn't HAVE to be that model as long as it's well priced. Rather save up for something that would last than a cheap replica

I think he talk about eotech 512 or 552 without NV compatible. Those might pop up cGN around those price for use one or even here. As for me, I can't wait so decide to get a real eotech EXPS3-0 with tax come out to 805 $.

If you can, find a local retailer in your area. Where are you located? It helps to actually hold it and try it out even with a magnifier before buying. Failing that, your next bet is perhaps ask one of the sellers at ASC to give you a hand on this if they can.

For people willing to pay a real Eotech product and wondering where to find a distributor check this link.

Short Round June 14th, 2011 10:15

Classifieds have real Eotechs for cheap.

Like said before though, clones are a hit and miss. I have seen a couple occasions where they have out performed most optics at games.
